Tie Dye and bleach pen question

I attempted to make the tie dye Mickey t-shirts. The Mickey head isn't as defined as I would like. The shirt has been dried, because I did not have the bleach pen at the time the shirt was done.

Is it too late to use the bleach pen to outline the Mickey head? I know I read that someone had used the pen when the shirt was wet. Has anyone tried it later either with a dry shirt or by rewetting the shirt?

I have used the bleach pen once the shirts dried and it turned out great! I just left the bleach on there for a bit longer. This is how they turned out! We are happy with them!

Thank you so much for responding. I am running out of time and didn't know if I should try to make new shirts or try to "fix" the ones I have. I'll try the bleach pen and see how it works.

Good luck with the bleach pen!! It took the colour out of the very old tshirt that I was wearing when I fixed the tye died ones, so be careful with it!!
