Not sure why I don't know this answer but liquids/gels - they don't have to be in a clear container themselves (like travel sized lotion) they just have to be in a clear ziploc type bag correct? Has anyone brought along the tide stain remover "pens" through airport security?

Yup, put them in your clear quart zip lock.

Those stain removers will fall into the liquid/gel category. As long as they hold less than 3 oz. (and I believe they are plenty small enough) just put them into a one-quart zip lock with your other liquids and gels. The container itself can be clear or whatever color; it doesn't matter. If it holds more than 3 oz. it will have to go in checked luggage.

All liquids must be in containers of less then 3 oz. And all the contrainers must be in quart size baggie. The tide stain thing would be a liquid.

And they will confiscate it because they did to me because I had it my handbag, I totally forgot about it and I was very sad they took it but it was my fault because I forgot it was in my purse. I won't do that again. I love those things! :thumbsup2

If you put it in your 3-1-1 ziplock bag they won't confiscate it, if you leave it in your purse they will.

You are allowed to bring liquids and gels in amounts of 3 oz or less as long as they fit comfortably in one quart size zip lock bag. You need to remove the zip lock (3-1-1) bag and place it in the bin separately and your all set.

The TSA wouldn't let you put it in your plastic bag? Or didn't you have one?

Just make sure it is Tide to go and not a bleach pen. You cannot take bleach in carryon or checked bags onto a plane. :)

I guess when the changes first went into effect, some TSA agents were taking the pens, thinking they contained bleach.
