ticks are still out there

Don't let the cool weather and sometimes darn right cold fool you.........The ticks are still plentiful and around.........My husband had to go to the ER last night to have one that was completely inbedded in the back of his arm taken out........they had to give him a novacaine and go for it.......so please check your clothes if you go walking in the woods and then check your self over really good.........lyme disease is in the deer ticks and then you have the wood ticks.......Just be careful

Yep, I pulled 3 or 4 ticks off the dog in the last two weeks, we had to dose her with Frontline after a summer of no ticks at all.

tick one for our doggie.....we did the one just for puppies and mosquitos.....Maybe I should call the vet and get one more dose for the winter........thanks for making me think about her too

About a month ago I found 7-8 ticks on each of our three cats that go outside . So I immediately did the flea/tick killer that you put at their shoulders. No problem since (stuff works well!) But one of the horses was running a very high fever on Monday - found 2 ticks on her chest. The vet says he has been seeing this lately. She ran a high fever again last night even on antibiotic and fever reducer. He said we just have to wait it out. Bad season for ticks here.
