tickets with upgrade

If I buy my tickets some where else than Disneyland can the same amount be used to upgrade to a AP? I can get a 1 day ticket for $59 instead of $69 at the park. So i want to make sure they will only charge the difference of the $69 for the AP. Thanks

Sorry but that isn't how it works. They know exactly how much you pay for that ticket...it has a barcode on it and when they scan it they will know you paid 59 for it. But you can upgrade that ticket...yes.
