Tickets with Park hopper

I had my (5) 7 day Park Hoppers for a trip that was supposed to start this Sunday refunded by UT. I lost 5% of the value due to their handling fee, but it was better than leaving the money tied up in Tickets I may never get to use. We have decided to give Disney a break until this Pandemic settles down and the Value returns to visiting.

We have been enough over the years that we felt a reduced experience was not worth the cost of the vacation.

I contacted UT yesterday, about a refund for the difference between park hopper and non park hopper tickets. This is the response I got:

D******* (Undercover Tourist) Jun 18, 2020, 8:18 AM EDT Hello, Currently Disney has not made any official announcements regarding if reservations can be made for more than 1 park in the same day, or not... So we do not know for sure if park hopping will be suspended. Once Disney has released their information on the reservation systems and what all options everyone will have, we then will be able to provide you with more information. If the parks are to suspend the ability to park hop, they then will be able to let us know what options there are for your tickets. So I am confused, I thought it was a well know fact no park hopping will be allowed.

I have non expiring park hoppers that I bought in 2010, hope I get compensated some way if I cant hop

My feeling is that they’re playing park hoppers by ear. If reservations are not near their desired capacity, then they’ll allow park hopping to any under capacity parks. If the park is near desired capacity, then no hopping. I base this on the information that they will continue to sell park hoppers once they open ticket sales and what was reported earlier in this thread that they’ll refund hoppers during your stay. If park hopping is available, then no refund. So we could see no park hoppers at opening and say Christmas/Thanksgiving or other busy weeks and park hopping allowed in between those weeks.
