Tickets to AP upgrade question.

I have a question that steamed from a conversation with someone that said they booked the free dining package and were going to upgrade to AP’s when they get to Disney world and they would get to keep the dinning plan for this trip. I asked on here and was told that was true. So now I’m thinking with the trips we want to make next year in the spring and fall this could work to my advantage to save some money in the long run. Because this is all new to me I do have some questions (please don’t crucify the naive questions this is new to me I always just book a package and go).


I currently have 6 day tickets with park hoppers package with free dining for this November if I choose to upgrade to AP’s when I get to Disney will they take the total cost of the tickets at 465.00 or will they only do 390.00 which is the price without the hopper option? Right now, I’m just trying to weight all my options make a wise financial decision. Thank you all for your help.

On what date did you first contact Disney to BOOK your package?

If you paid for the park hopper they should credit you the price of the park hopper. I just did this last December - super easy!
