Okay, if this is posted in the wrong place, feel free to move it! I wasn't sure where it should go.

We're looking at getting our park hopper tickets through Undercover Tourist instead of in a Disney package because it comes out to be about $30-40 cheaper since Disney's prices on their website don't include tax. My question is, if you order through UT, I take it your park tickets are NOT on your KTTW??? Are they just the seperate little paper tickets? How exactly does that work?

If I remember correctly, I think you can take your tickets to the ticket counter at your resort and they'll put them on your room key for you.

I agree. We got tickets throught UT last time we went that when we checked in they were able to put our ticket info our our room keys. :thumbsup2

Yup, they can add it to your KTTW card. Otherwise it's a paper ticket.
On a side note, i remember from another thread you were thinking of the meal plan. I'm sure you know you won't be able to get the meal plan if you buy your tickets this way, just thought I would put it out there anyway.

Yes, they are paper, about the size of a credit card - the same thing you'd get if you ordered tickets through disney.com. I highly recommend UT. We left our tickets on the plane when we went last year...we got in a 8 p.m. on a Friday night and UT didn't open up again until Monday. We bought new tickets direct from disney, but UT gave us a full refund on the tickets...I was really impressed by the customer service. I don't even think Disney will give you a full refund.

we purchased our 8 day hopper tickets on Friday and they arrived Tuesday...I copied the tickets back side to keep with me in case they get lost...I was impressed with the prices and the 5 day mail service...I paid the extra 5.00 for that. They arrived in the regular mail box delivery so I didn't need to be at home to sign for them.:)

Gulp. What? Can't do meal plan unless you buy park tickets at Disney? I'm freaking out right now. We're staying as a guest of someone at a DVC and she booked our meal plan for us already. Am I missing something? I ordered my tix off UT last week. Help!

It might be different with DVC, but when just booking regular if you get a package with a meal plan you have to get tickets too. If you book room only then you can get tickets seperate. We booked one night room only and the rest we ended up doing a package for because we wanted the dining plan in the end (we were debating it but decided to go for it). So that first night we don't have the dining for.

No freaking out!! Remain calm.. all is well!! hehe If you're staying at a DVC on someone's DVC's points, then you don't have to worry. You don't need to buy park tickets through Disney to get the meal plan. You just have to pay for the meal plan, which is probably what you're already planning! The requirement to buy a park ticket through Disney is for Magic Your Way packages where you're paying a rack rate for the room and usually getting the Dining Plan for free. Not sure if it's only for free Dining or not. But either way, since you'er doing a DVC stay, you don't have to buy a park ticket through Disney.... of that I'm sure! :thumbsup2

I have used UT a few times in the past and they were great. Fast shipping, good customer service.
If you subscribe to the Mousesavers newsletter it will usually include a special link to access discounts.

I was able to get a really good AP room rate and added the dining plan without including tickets, just like DVC. I already purchased MYW tickets from UT so I will upgrade the ticket to an AP when i get there.
