Tickets through MDE-How to get Magicbands?

I was going to buy tickets through my Disney Experience but it doesnt say anything about magicbands. How do I do that? Do I have to buy Magicbands?

Magicbands are free to those staying at a disney resort. Otherwise you can purchase magicbands at Disney gift shops or online at the disney store.

If you’re staying onsite you’ll get them automatically and for free. If not, then you’ll just get a card and you have to buy the MB, for about $12 a piece

You pick the color through the MDE

Link your reservation in MDE (not the same as your DVC account). You should have a link for customizing your MBs once the reservation has been added to MDE. The MBs will ship about a month before your stay begins.
