Sold out park reservations does not equal parks full to capacityEven if days opened up, I just can’t imagine being there when it’s that packed and having a fun time,………
Star Wars celebrationsAnyone know why it’s so busy the first full weekend in May and into the week?
Star Wars day on May 4th and there's a cheer competition from April 30-May 1st and the D2 summit (another cheer competition) from May 6-8Anyone know why it’s so busy the first full weekend in May and into the week?
Pretty much all of 2022 is going to be a mad house because of the 50th and Disney not running at its old max capacity levels and people being cooped up the last 2 years.Every park but AK is sold out for Monday May 9. We have reservations but I was thinking it would be a relaxing light crowd trip… seriously rethinking this
Guardians previews start on the 8th. I was scheduled to go home on the 8th but added a few days because I snagged a spot that day. I suspect lots of other AP/DVC people have done the same. Plus travel is still high during a normally lower time. Kind of stinks.Every park but AK is sold out for Monday May 9. I'm going the same week as you are. I initially thought it was going to be okay crowd wise but I think this year you have to expect it to be busier than average. It will be lighter than spring break for sure but it definitely won't be a 4-5 projected crowd level that crowd calendars have estimated in the past. It also doesn't help that in the same week are AP/DVC previews for the new Guardians coaster (which I will be doing on the 9th), which made people book last minute trips or extend their trips.Every park but AK is sold out for Monday May 9. The major uptick of people are for guardians preview. Sure epcot might be "sold out" but I dont think the rest of the parks or even world showcase will be to crazy. Its going to be normal crowded and I know sept could be less crazy but we just dont know. So far every "low crowd" time has been busy.We have tix holding our park reservations but I was planning on moving those to september and buying shorter, two day tix for May 8-9. Maybe we should just enjoy the Swan and resort hopping and forget my grand plans of practicing with G+ and ILL for our more important September trip? Seems like a lot of $$$$ to throw down for tix mainly for trying out the new system when it may turn out to be super crowded? I would cancel altogether but we got good flight times at a great price lol!!
Yes, this worries me! My plan was to do a dry run quick trip just me and DH and learn firsthand how things work. Our more important trip is on September where we will have 3 full park days and 3 teenagers!!!The major uptick of people are for guardians preview. what if you just merge the trips? longer stay makes things less stressful imoYes, this worries me! My plan was to do a dry run quick trip just me and DH and learn firsthand how things work. Our more important trip is on September where we will have 3 full park days and 3 teenagers!!!
Than just go and enjoy! if its a bit packed than you can learn in the worst of times, things will be a cake walk on the next trip.I wish but the kids will already have started school and we are doing our first CL stay and it will get pricey!!!
I suppose that’s something! Maybe if it were anyone else but cranky DH!!! Lol. Just weighing the benefits of spending $700 on 2 day tix with PH and G+ and still needing to buy ILLs versus using that $$ on nice dinners and drinks…Than just go and enjoy! if its a bit packed than you can learn in the worst of times, things will be a cake walk on the next trip.
Could always leave the $LL for the trip with the kids. Unless they are must do for DH. Not much different in buying a $LL than booking G+ for learning sake.I suppose that’s something! Could do a $LL day and do both in one day RoTR in mornin and FoP at night than one day going ham with G+ in any park. That’s true… but I feel like our must dos of RotR and FOP would be sad to miss… maybe tix are the way to go…
