Tickets question

I'm trying to decide where to purchase my 5 day park hopper plus tickets for my trip that starts 5-24. I have a Disney Club card. I wish you could still get the passes for the same price with DC discount at the resorts. In the past you could pay for them at check in and have the passes on the same card as the room key, but I understand that is only true now for ultimate park hoppers.

Should I:

Go to the Disney store and get them with the DC discount?

Use a ticket broker on line? (I saw a couple recommended by mousesavers, but I'm apprehensive about buying online.)

Go to the Kissimmee Wal-Mart. (They had as of 2/28 5 Day PHP with 4 options instead of two. Anyone know if they still have those?)

Again, I wish they still had the same deals available at check in, this has made for another thing to deal with in planning that I wish I didn't have to do. Any idea why they have implemented the advance ticket price differential?

I haven't heard anything about the tickets at the Kissimmee Wal-Mart, but that sounds like a good deal if they still have it.

If not, I would get the tickets ahead of time at the Disney Store with the DC discount. Then that's one less thing you have to do when you get to WDW.

Have a great trip! :p

Your understanding is not correct. You can still get any ticket media that you purchase at check-in encoded onto the resort ID.

Easy. So that they can get and have use of your money longer. :)

Golden Oldie thanks for the wisdom. As much as I'd like to have the ticket and room keys all in one looks like the Disney Store with the cheaper price and DC discount will win over the convenience..

No problem. I personally would buy them ahead of time myself, too. :)

But I just wanted to let you know that your understanding about what can be put on the resort ID was incorrect. Any ticket or pass that can be purchased at resort check-in can still be encoded onto your Disney resort ID as can UPH's purchased in advance.

Any other ticket media (tickets purchased in advance from DC, TDS, or any independent ticket wholesaler as well as AP's and PAP's) cannot be put on your resort ID.

Hi!

I don't know where you will get the best price, but I just ordered a 7 day hopper plus from "Florida Orlando Vacations" (listed on mousesavers) on Friday, March 28 and they arrived at my home in Nevada on Thursday, April 3 which was less than a week.

I'm very pleased with their service and it was the best price I found since I don't have any discount cards.
