Tickets question

My sil checked with the travel agent about tickets for her hubby. He's only going to stay 4 days of the 6 day stay with us. She was told that since everyone else in the room was buying a 6 day hopper that he had to too. Anyone know the truth about this? She is going to call Disney to see. I figured that there may be some hubbys that didn't want to go to the park and go golfing while wife and kids went to park. Any way just wondering and thought someone out there would know.

If you are on a package, everyone has to have the same ticket.

You could buy 4 day tickets and upgrade the rest when you get there.

Oh ok. I didn't realize that. He can't stay the whole time and just wanted to buy 4 day hopper pass. We've all paid for our passes and he was just an add on.
