Tickets purchased not through Disney

If I purchase my tickets outside of Disney, but it includes MyMagic+ and Fastpass+ does this mean we will get the MagicBands?

Are you a resort guest? If not, I believe you would have to pay for a band if you want one. Your ticket is RFID and will work in place of the band.

Only Annual Passholders and Disney Resort Guests receive MagicBands. If you are staying off-site you can purchase a MagicBand for $12.95 plus tax. A MagicBand is not necessary to use FP+ as your Admission Card (RFID Ticket Media) will work at the touch points.

That is what I thought, but was confused when it said MyMagic+ was included so I was hoping. We are staying offsite so no MagicBands for us this time.
