One more question - do they have an extra XMas-sy atmosphere at LTT due to its being selected for the "pkg"?

I don't know the answer to that as we ate there for MNSSHP...but the whole park is decorated for X-mas so maybe the restaurant will be too.

For MNSSHP, the characters and waiters were dressed in Halloween costumes! It was great fun!

2 years ago, we ate at Crystal Palace and there was nothing special for X-mas...

Congratulations to everyone going to MVMCP and thank you Beatyfamily for this thread.

Last year, I went to MK Libery Tavern and they had the normal christmas decorations and christmas tree.

Whether you like Crystal Palace or Liberty Tavern, I would suggest making a Priorit Seating 90 minutes before the opening of MVMCP.

While others are waiting in line to enter MVMCP, you can be sitting down enjoying a wonderful, relaxing dinner.

Then you can just walk out the restaurant and already be in the park when MVMCP starts.

The restaurant manager usually gives you a wrist band with proof of your ticket, or you can walk back to the front gate and get one.

On the new "DIS Meet Board", I put the program and times from last year's MVMCP program along with all of last year's park hours, etc. if you would like to go and look at it.

Maybe some of you could get together for a DIS meet.

I'll be going the first week of December.

Have a magical vacation.

"If you are on a budget, there is no need to attend MVMCP. Most all the decorations are out during normal operating hours. What you will end up missing (during the first half of December) is the Christmas Parade and special fireworks. " from Deb's site

We will be at Disney 12/16. Would we be able to see the Christmas parade during the day? Aren't the Bear Jamoree dressed up for the whole holiday season. What is really different at night, that's not available during the day. Besides the picture, cookies, hot chocolate and the snow on Main Street?
Just wondering.

I'm not sure but I think the December 16 will still not have the xmas parade and I'm not sure about Country Bears... you'll have to research and maybe post this question as a new thread but I think the X-mas parade is only the last few days leading up to Christmas Day.

Not going to MVMCP, you'd probably miss:

The snow on Main Street
The free photo and pin
The free hot chocolate and cookies
The 2 parades
The amazing fireworks with Rudolph flying down...
Supposed limited ticket sales so supposed low crowds for rides...

The x-mas shows (from 2002):

Bness,

In the past they did not start running the Christmas parade during the day until after the final MVMCP which is the 19th this year.

Wooohoooo!! Just ordered our tickets for December 9th:D Asked about the dining and CM said still nothing yet, try 90-120 days out for LTT on party nights:(

I am really new to these boards, so don't get mad at me. But the use of upper case letter abreviations is very hard for some us to understand. Would anyone mind telling me what MVMCP is? Sorry for not knowing and thanks for answering!

It stand for Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party. MNSSHP is Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party. You'll be seeing that in posts as well. Both are ticketed after hour parties, sort of like E Nites, and offer themed entertainment and activities.
