I loved having my park tickets, dinning plan and charging on my room key but can you do this when you are a DVC member too & how does it work (just like non dvc?)
Yes, you can have all of those things on your room key - even if you are staying on points at a DVC resort. It works the same way that it works at the non-DVC WDW resorts.

When you have an x-day non-expiring park hopper ticket on your room key, what happens later if you didn't use all the days on that trip? Do you need to keep track of your room key and present it on check-in for your next stay to have the remaining days transferred to your new room key? Or is the info in the system for your use regardless of whether you keep the key?
1) Tickets can be added to your room key.
2) Exceptions are Florida Resident discount passes and AP/PAP.
3) Unsed days stay with the card for future use.
4) As a precaution, write down the ticket number under your name.

I'll give you a little heads-up from my recent experience.
Our 1st trip as DVC members was this past Nov/Dec. It was also the first time I had to buy tickets separately from my room package. Anyway, I called several people, even the BCV themselves, and got many different answers. But I KNEW from reading these boards that folks had purchased tickets separately (like from mousesavers) and had them transferred to their room key. I had a 15-year veteran at BCV tell me that they do not transfer park tickets to room keys but when I told her what I had read on the DIS, she put me on hold and went to ask about it. She came back on and told me that YES, THEY WILL PUT YOUR PARK TICKETS ON YOUR ROOM KEY but you'll need to go to the CONCIERGE DESK to have it done. She said that she learned something new after 15 years. The reason for my LONG explanation is so that if you run into someone telling you NO, it can't be done, to keep trying until they do it.
