Tickets now...Pin code later

Hi everyone. My husband and I are planning a trip to Disney World in October 2012. I can get a really good deal on park hopper tickets right now, but I would like to get a 40% off pin code for the room before I book. My question is this: Do I have to get the tickets with the room to use the pin code, or can I get the tickets now? I am trying to find the cheapest way to go to Disney and stay in a Deluxe, and the tickets are a great deal a long as I get them now. I am not looking for an entire package deal, just a pin code on the room. Does this even happen? Thanks in advance!

Room discounts usually are "room only" -- They are not park of a package, so you can use a PIN just for the room, without the need to buy tickets.

But there are often package discounts, which do require purchase of tickets. So you may have trouble qualifying for some types of future discounts if you buy your tickets separately.
