Tickets gone at opening for D23

This thread I think caused some confusion today amongst a few people. There were some people that thought you were talking about the Expo. After calling Disneyland tickets from work about the D23 Expo, I still had no answer as to whether the tickets for it was sold out. They explained that you had
to obtain tickets from the website.
So, I rushed home to get my D23 Expo tickets after work and thankfully had no problems getting them. I am a D23 member, so not sure if it is an issue getting them if you are not a member.

Yeah. The OP was referring to another D23 event, and not the expo.

Sorry you were concerned. This D23 Burbank tour went on sale today at 11, so most people understood what this was about. The Expo tickets have been on sale for a while now. I haven't even bought my Expo tickets yet as I imagine there is going to be plenty of room. I would love to hear opinions if people think they will sell out soon.

I didn't have actual access to the boards while I was at work, but a friend of mine saw this thread and messaged me at work. He knew that I was absolutely planning on going to the Expo. And he totally freaked me out. He said the boards are saying that it sold out in 3 minutes. And it shocked me because I hadn't heard anything about it. I'm not upset or anything. Actually, I am glad that it sorta forced me to go ahead and buy the tickets. Now, I know I will get in.
Sorry about the Burbank Tour. It is frustrating that you join something thinking that you will be able to participate in everything that is offered. If they get enough slack over it, they will probably offer it again.

You might want to check with your email address that you get D23 announcements from. Because I got an email alert from them around 6/3 that the Expo tickets were on sale. Maybe it's going to your spam folder?

My post said these tickets were gone at "opening" today so I'm thinking that maybe you did not get the Expo announcement email I'm referring to?

Thanks for your kind thoughts. I am experienced going online to get concert tickets at the hour they go onsale, so I was surprised by this. An additional problem for me was that most sites do not open up their waitlist in a pop up. As someone noted above, the pop up blocker on this computer stopped the waitlist from going through for me. But one of my friends got through, so at least I can hear about it from her.

They sent me an email in response to mine saying they would try to get to the waitlist people (perhaps in another tour) so those of you who are on it, stay tuned. They put a good policy in place that anyone who got in this time will not be eligible for another this year.

I sent them an email as well, but have not heard back yet. That will be great if they do another tour for the waitlist people. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I don't think it opened early. I was online at ten fifty eight and it wasn't live yet. Meaning the link. It went live at eleven as promised.

The link did go live earlier than promised. I refreshed the page at 10:58 and saw that it was live. Unfortunately, by the time I input my data, I was unable to get anything other than Waitlisted.

A few people on Micechat who successfully got tickets reported that the link was live at 10:57 and that they subsequently received email confirmations with a time stamp of 10:58.

Hi! I had received the emails about the Expo tickets going on sale last week. I just didn't think there would be any problem getting them for a few weeks. And I a terrible procrastinator. This whole situation Tuesday really got me moving though .

Tuesday, when this all happened, I came home and signed onto the D23 website and didn't have any problems getting the Expo tickets as a member. I got (3) four day tickets. I have no idea if there is problems getting them for non-members.

Thanks for your help. I think in the future I will know to move on these offerings as soon as possible. You never know the amount of interest.

We also got waitlisted for the Studios/Archives tour. We received an e-mail today that they have added a 2nd tour at 2 pm for those waitlisted. So we are now confirmed for the 2 pm tour on Aug 15. We are soooooooo excisted! Hope you also were able to get scheduled on the later tour -- Suzanne

I received an email today (I was waitlisted too) and we are confirmed for a 12pm tour on Aug. 15! Sounds like they've added more tours that day. Go check your inboxes and Good luck to you all!

Nope. From reading different Disney boards, I'm beginning to think I'm the only waitlisted person to NOT receive one of the added slots. (And, yes, I know for sure that I'm waitlisted because they sent me two other erroneous emails earlier in the week.)

No you are not the only one. I also was on the waitlist and got the same two emails as well.

But I haven't got an email adding me to any additional tours.
