tickets from flea markets?

Someone that I know is going to Disney in June and her TA told her to wait and get her disney tickets/PHP from a flea market down in Orlando. I told her that this wasn't a very good idea because you don't really know if the tickets will be any good or not.

Has anybody ever done this or know someone who has? I just want to let her know that she might end up losing $ instead of saving it.

This is a bad idea. Unless she buys from an autorized seller she is taking a risk. Send her to Ticketmania.com they do not charge shipping, are legit. and have good prices on all sorts of tickets. Why waste time buying tickets in Orlando when you can do it for less in advance? Sounds like a pretty bad TA, IMHO.

I would definitely tell her to NOT buy from a flea market. Sounds to me like her TA is loony!!!

You'd have a better chance of getting into the parks by writing "Disney Park Pass" on a sheet of white paper than by buying tickets at a flea market. No way !

As someone who has been in the travel business for 20 years, I have to agree with the previous posters. To give the travel agent the benefit of the doubt, maybe your friend misunderstood, but since I don't see how that is possible, I would have one suggestion - find a new travel agent! (Though I would love to hear the TA's explanation of this suggestion)

I also would be looking for a new travel agent! Have your friend check out the info at mousesavers.com to get the best prices on tickets and to read why you shouldn't buy them from an unauthorized dealer. I can't believe a travel agent would suggest that!

There must be a big communication snafu there. I cannot imagine ANYONE recommending that someone purchase tickets at a flea market! YIKES!
