We will be making our first trip as DVC members in 4 weeks (29 days and 10 hours!!!). We have always purchased our tickets with the vacation package and just paid for it all at once. When we got there, the confirmation letter would be presented and the park tickets would be put on the room key.

Here is where I'm not too sure: My in-laws are flying in and will arrive before we do. I am paying for their entire trip so I am tasked with purchasing the park tickets. Can they check in as "guests?" If I call up MS and buy the tickets over the phone will they tie their park hopper's to their room keys so they can go to the park before we arrive? It appears as though they will be there at 11:00AM and we will arrive around 4:00PM. Can they check in, get their cards and hit the parks if the room isn't ready? I assume it will not be this early in the day.

Thanks as always

I don't think MS sells tickets at all. Your in-laws may have to go ahead and buy their own if they want to hit the parks before you get there. Unless you buy them online from Disney and have them mailed to you. I ordered by PAPs on line and received the voucher in about 5-7 days.

I'm sorry, I meant Guest Services, reservations, whatever. I intend to buy them ahead of time. I just wanted to know is the DVC member the only person that can check in?

Thanks

if your guests name are on the reservation - they should be able to check in.

you can get the tickets cheaper using mousesavers - sign up for her email.
