Tickets at Work question for anyone who’s used them.

My SIL bought a one day ticket from tickets at work at the last minute before his trip to Orlando for he and DGS. He has magic bands from 3 1/2 years ago when they went and DGS was one. There was no ticket actually assigned to DGS st that time because he was free at that time. He chose pickup at Will Call for the tickets because there wasn’t time to mail them. Instead of picking up at will call could he add the confirmation number to their old magic bands. If DGS won’t work because of never having a ticket assigned to it could he just buy a new one at a Disney store and use the confirmation number? (The email has a Disney reservation number on each ticket)
 
I have not used Tickets at Work, but he should be able to add those tickets to his MDE account. Nothing is actually “on” a MagicBand, but rather the MagicBand will access the MDE account (and any tickets or reservations there). The MBs from 3 years ago should work for tickets and FP+, but maybe not for some Photo Pass ride photos.
