So I've been struggling the past few years with the idea of getting an Annual Pass. Well I should have... After all this years I've spent quite a few more bucks than I would have with the annual pass, especially on onsite hotels.

Now here's my query:

1. If I purchase the preferred annual pass for non-florida resident now (259.99), anyone know how much the renewals are (for this year at least)?

2. Obviously I'll have to wait a few more months until September AP rates come out to book my onsite ressie. Eventhough the my pass won't be activated, there will be no issue just showing it before the end of my stay to confirm the AP rate, right?

3. Will I be able to buy HHN tickets online with the AP discount since my pass won't be activated until first use (until I arrive)?

I think my biggest issue would be not being able to buy HHN tix before leaving for my trip, in other words, ahead of time.

Since I'm going to Busch Gardens this year, another option is buying the Flex Ticket Plus.. but there is no discount for onsite hotels there... Any thoughts?

Thanks homies!

Cheers!

i forgot.
i'll look it up and let you know if someone else doesn't fill that info in

right.
you do not need the ap in hand to book the onsite hotel w/ap rate.
you have to show the ap sometime during your stay and before check out time.

3. Will I be able to buy HHN tickets online with the AP discount since my pass won't be activated until first use (until I arrive)?

you can call and buy the AP and if the hhn tix prices are listed, you can do that at the same time in most cases.

or, you can buy the ap now, online or calling, and when the hhn tixs go on sale, you would have to call and request the ap rate for hhn tix.

you would need to give your confirmation number on the AP order.
if they can verify you did buy the AP, they will work with you.

or, you can buy your hhn tickets w/ap discount at the park once you have activated your ap.

totally understand that.
since you plan to go early in the month, you should not have any worries about the hhn tix selling out.

no discounts on the onsite hotels with the Flex ticket plus.

if you want to do BG while you are staying on site at the darkside, you can get transportation with the luxury busses.
it is $10 for that.

you are picked up at your hotel and dropped off at BG.

only issue is, the bus will stop at other places for pick ups.
you could leave the darkside resort at 8:30 but not be at BG until 10:00.

if you plan to have a long stay at the darkside, then you would have enough time to do it all on the upcoming trip.

Amazing Mac, thanks!

I am planning on doing a VIP tour for Howl-o-Scream so I'll stay the night in Tampa and won't need the bus ride. The rest of the trip will stay at RPR for HHN.

I shall buy my AP! Renewals is much less though, right?

Cheers!

The Mears transport to BG doesn't require you to return on the same day or at all. I have used that bus to get to Tampa and not returned till the next day so if you really don't need a car you can get away without one!

Have fun!!

the renewals are cheaper than from the first time you buy them.

in the previous years, my renewal was under $100.
then it went to over $100, then it went up and again up.

i think last march 2011, i paid about $170 for the renewal with tax.
it was $159.99 plus tax for me last year.
