I have a question regarding two different 10 day tickets in my name in my Disney App. One ticket is an old 10 day one that is not date based and I was told I would need to make park reservations to use it. The other ticket is a new date based 10 day one that was just recently purchased. I would like to use the new one that is date based as it is specifically for the days that I will be there but how does the admission machine know to use that one? I really don't want it to use one for 5 days and the other for 5 days and then have nothing left after my trip. I need to make sure it is always using the date based one the 10 days that we are in the parks. Will they ask me at the gate or will the fact that I didn't make park reservations make any difference on this? THANKS for any help you can give on this.

Stop at a ticket window and have the date-based ticket prioritized. Then check MDE after going through the tapstile to make sure the correct one was used.

My wife and I were each given 1-day Magic Your Way park hopper passes. Unfortunately we can't use as we are annual pass holders. Can anyone advise on the do's and don'ts regarding what we can do with these tickets? They do not expire till September 2026.

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you could apply the value of those tickets to your next annual pass renewal or purchase.

Are they dated (specific dates) or open but expiring 9/2026? Was this a guest recovery situation? Comp tickets cannot be upgraded. Guest recovery comp tickets may be restricted to the guest to whom they were issued. You can call to see if you can re-assign them to someone else.

These are not date specific and we do have the option to reassign to another person. Due to the storms that rolled through the MNSSHP, power outages and stuck on a few rides, Disney made the announcement to cancel the parade, shows and fireworks. As a good-will gesture, they gave us the Magic Your Way park hopper. With our annual pass which don't expire till later 2026, these hoppers were of no value. We tried the following day, on site, to get 1 or 2 lightning lanes, but no dice. Other than being out nearly $400 for the party, and this is the 3rd time over the past few years, it's disappointing. I called Disney yesterday if I could "swap" for the Christmas Party... not allowed. >:(

Do you have any friends or family members who can use them? That's about all you can do if you aren't going to use them yourself and WDW won't allow an exchange.

@lanejudy, would @Coastie's tickets be the same as other unused tickets and retain their value even after expiry date? If so, could they keep them in their MDE account and use them towards something in the future?
Unfortunately, comp tickets have no [monetary] value. So no, there is no value to carry forward to use in the future.

Thank you all for your advice/assistance. I have reached out to a couple of colleagues in the Orlando area and will reassign the tickets to them.

Wife and I are considering getting incredi-passes to disney world. I think I have wrapped my head around the park reservation schedule/system.

Can someone walk me through how lightning lane works in conjunction with annual passes? Here are some of the questions i am wondering:

1. If staying off property, is it 3 days in advance of your park reservation? If staying on property is it 7 days in advance of your stay?
2. If you plan on park hopping, in the afternoon are you only able to make reservations for the first park you have a reservations for?
(i.e. if we reserve AK in the morning, but then plan on going to HS later, can we initially only make reservations at HS)?

Initially you must make your 3 reservations for the same park. It can be your first park or your second park.

Once you have tapped into your first LL you can book your next one at any park, any tier. Also, tapping into your first LL opens the option to modify your remaining 2 initially booked LLs to any park, any tier.

This thread is a great one to read and discuss LLMP and LLSP. I’d suggest starting with the last 4-5 pages for the most current information.
