Ok thank you very much. I remember years ago when you stayed on Disney property they gave you Magic Bands, do they still do that.
No, you have to buy them now. Sadly, the days of free Disney perks for staying on property are just about extinct ☹️

I will add though, I do find the magic bands very convenient so that Im not constantly trying to open my wallet on my phone to tap into rides or the parks. And they link up your ride photos nice and easily through bluetooth so that they are downloaded to the app.

I am going to Disney next month, I already linked my tickets to my Disney app. Can I get go right to the turnstiles or do I have to go to the window and get paper tickets?

Also do you need magic bands anymore?
If there are more than one or two people in your party, to be courteous to the people behind you in line at the first park, you might want to visit any ticket booth or Guest Relations outside the park or at Disney Springs to get plastic ticket cards free of charge for each member of your party. If you’re staying at a Disney resort, you can get them at the front desk - they’ll be Key to the World (KTTW) cards that will unlock your room door, serve as your tickets for entering parks and LLs, and allow you to charge food and merchandise to your resort account. The KTTW cards do everything the MBs do except link ride photos where there aren’t tap points at the end of the ride.

When using the phone, you have to pull up a ticket, then have the correct person scan their finger, then pull up the next ticket, make sure the correct person scans their finger, pull up the next ticket, etc. As you can imagine, that process takes longer than having each person scan their plastic card and then their finger.

AP question. I have a sorcerer‘s pass and will be at WDW over Veterans Day weekend. I have a reservation for a DVC stay at VGF. Was thinking of trying to purchase the LLPP pass for Saturday at Magic Kingdom. However, I have already made a reservation for Hollywood Studios that day. I just went in to see if I could change my AP to MK for that day. But it’s showing me no AP park reservation availability as “resort stay”
AP holder from the 8th-11th for my stay. But if I go in as a regular AP holder, it shows availability as wide-open. Does that make sense? And what should I do if I want to try to make a change?

Including photos below. Or are those showing as blocked out because I already have a reservation booked that day? Appreciate any clarification! IMG_8876.pngIMG_8875.png

Did you select "Modify" for the park reservation you want to change to the MK? If you didn't, they show as not available since you hold a park reservation for that day.

Thanks - that may work for the other days, but on the Saturday in question (11/9) when I hit modify it says “modifications aren’t allowed for my type of pass” that day and that I’d have to first cancel my original park res and then rebook. Makes me nervous..

I guess the better question is whether park reservations been have sold out at ALL for AP’s during busy times over the past few months? And aren’t resort guests exempt from that?

Appreciate any insight as I may have to be doing this on the fly at 7am Friday morning when I try to book. If I can’t get the LLPP, I’d have to switch my park res back again to go back to my original LLMP schedule, which would have me at Hollywood Studios that morning. 😳

Did you post this twice? I swear I responded to it earlier.

I saw a post from Disney Food Blog saying reservations are gone for HS on 11/9. Be careful about dropping yours if you aren't sure about not wanting it.

Sorry, I may have cross posted that question on two different forums. I posted it on one before I realized I might have posted on the wrong one. Was anxious to get an answer since I knew I had to call WDW tech today. Really appreciate the heads up,

I have a 7 day park hopper ticket assigned to me in MDE. I intended to have the value of that applied to the cost of my Sorcerer Pass renewal, which is something I've done in the past. You have to call DVC to renew the Sorcerer Pass and the cast member I spoke with said the policy is that you can't apply the value of a park ticket to the renewal cost of an annual pass, and can only upgrade the park ticket to a new pass (losing out on the annual pass renewal discount). She even put me on hold for a long time to confirm this. Has anyone else been told this or did I get a misinformed cast member?

Can I add a day to a 7-day ticket that has 2 unused days on it?

Context: I purchased a 7-day PH for a recent visit in October. I used 5 days of it, but had to cut my trip short to get out before Hurricane Milton hit. I only used 5 out of the 7 days on the ticket, and in MDE, it does show that the ticket is now valid until October 2025.

I am going back for a short trip in December, where I will have 3 park days. Will I be able to add 1 extra day to the existing ticket (basically making it an 8-day ticket), instead of purchasing a much more expensive 1-day PH ticket after using the 2 remaining days? If I can add a day, do I have to wait until I arrive and have them do it at a ticket booth, or can I do this online or over the phone beforehand?

I believe this has been true since APs were brought back.
Thanks for the response! Now I'm even more confused, lol. I successfully bridged the value of three multi-day park tickets to the renewal of three annual passes last year, October 2023, which I believe is after annual passes returned. It's not a huge deal as we have a non-annual pass holder coming with us on our trip who will use the ticket, I'm just more curious about the current rule future future planning.

Ok, so we are just going to do a one day, "get in the mood" visit prior to a Disney Cruise.
We are staying at the Dolphin, so the plan is to start at Epcot, ride some favorites, maybe an early lunch. Then hop to Magic Kingdom for the bulk of the day, then finish the night with maybe a ride on Slinky Dog/ Runaway Rail and Fantasmic show, then take the friendship boat back to Dolphin.
Sleep in have a late breakfast, then take the Brightline to Fort Lauderdale hotel overnight and board our cruise the next day.

I've only done longer stays, so I wasnt sure- no more park reservations, correct, and no more 2 pm hopping?

So are the one day tickets just generic or do I buy a specific park, then add the park hopper option? I understand that 1 day tickets ate a specific date.
So I buy Epcot Ticket, since that would be our first park?
If I decide I want to do the LL passes, can you buy for each park, or do I pick one?
Not the Premier Pass, I know that one is one park only.
Our trip is not until summertime

Normally a One day ticket is for a Park and you would need to add the Park Hopper feature to go to additional parks. If you are purchasing a new ticket from Disney it will be a Dated ticket and with a Dated ticket no park reservations are required.

If I decide I want to do the LL passes, can you buy for each park, or do I pick one?
No you just buy it for 1 park and if you add the Park Hopper feature then you can decide which park to make your up to 3 initial LLMP and/or LLSP selections in. It does not need to be the park you start in but to unlock Multi Park use and remove Tier restrictions you must tap in to one of your up to 3 initial LLMP selections.

Example: Your purchase LLMP for HS and you enter Epcot first, you can't use LLMP in Epcot or MK until you hop to HS and tap into one of your 3 initial LLMP selections.

For an upcoming trip we have 7 day park hopper tickets. When we made reservations we did not plan to go to a park on our arrival day but now plan to do so which will short us 1 park day at the end of the trip. Should we go ahead and modify our reservation to change to an 8 day ticket or can we wait until during our trip and add a park ticket for the 8th day for the same incremental cost?

Ended up calling and got our ticket changed. The CM said it could have also been done at the resort after arrival.

I've scrolled through a few pages and don't see my question. I'm sure this has been asked before, so please forgive me for making you kind folks go through this again.

I may be taking a solo trip soon, followed by three more possible trips next year (crazy, I haven't been since 2015 and suddenly all this is falling in my lap). Getting an AP makes sense for me but how does that work when I travel with others who don't have an AP? When we reserve a room, it seems everyone has to get park tickets when you get a package. How does that work if I have an AP?

The only way to handle that is to not get a package. Book a room-only reservation or a "ticketless package" (I think that might include dining) and have the others buy tickets separately. We buy from Disney with Disney gift cards bought at a discount; others buy from authorized ticket resellers like Undercover Tourist and Boardwalk Ticketing that offer a discount off of Disney's prices.

Be aware that with your AP you'll have to make park reservations, but the others with you won't if they have the regular date-based tickets.

Another ticket question. I have MDE, and so does my sister for her and her husband.
She's on my Friends and Family list, so I can access her tickets, in case we want to purchase the "fastpass", I can do it for all of us.
As far as her husband goes, it says his plans are managed by me, but I cannot see his tickets like I can hers, which I think will present a problem if I'm trying to book the "fastpass". Yes I still call them fastpasses. lol

If your sister has her husband listed in her MDE, and you have him in your MDE, it's possible that MDE doesn't know those two profiles represent the same person. You might want to call the IT folks at 407-939-4357. I'm sure they can help straighten things out!
