tickets | 14 days from first use?

I have an advantage in the sense that I no longer go there for more then two days (used to be at least 4). Now that I have been there a gazillion times I buy a PH and split my stay and just go to the attractions that I want to see again or for the first time if I can get a FP for it. If I can't I just won't see it. It's not like an eclipse that is only seen on an special occasion. If I didn't get to see it, I'll try again the next time I go. That is unless, of course, I die before that gets to happen and then it probably won't be the last thought on my mind. Gee... I missed SWL. Now for an eternity of feeling the loss. However, the new plan is going to halve, at least, the money I used to spend there and it will be spent in Universal instead. So maybe the cash grab isn't as big as they hoped for.

Not if you don't change the tickets or package in any way.

You are seeing correctly, Pricing and ticket usage changed on October 16th...

You might try Undercover Tourist, they were still selling some old tickets with a 14day window.

WARNING! The "old" tickets UT are selling expire 2.28.19. I received mine yesterday for our May, 2019 trip. I didn't notice that when I ordered them. They have EVERYTHING relating to the expiration date and return policy highlighted on the package. I called and it will be an easy return! (No return if you have already linked to your account.) She said the "new" tickets should be up on the website in the next few days. We have ordered from UT for MANY years! They are great.

You must have ordered hard tickets. Yes, those expire at the end of February. The e-tickets that UT was selling were good through next December. I don't know if they are still selling any "old" tickets, since the info I'd seen indicated resellers would be allowed to sell old tickets until 10/29 (yesterday).

I was getting ready to use this in my next email to DVC member services regarding the 14 day usage but looked it up first. This offer came out starting in Aug 2018 so before the new ticket policies and that's why it doesn't require a ticket start date and you can use the tickets for 14 days. Also, I seriously doubt SWGE will open in Sept 2019 -most everything I've seen is Nov or Dec 2019. More then likely the ticket good through date is basically 1 year after the promotion started.
