I have never once been able to get Jimmy Buffett tickets through Ticketmaster for his Atlanta concerts. Was on-line and on the phone this morning to get tickets and once again no luck. I guess I'll buy them on eBay or through a broker.

Are you sure you're registered for the fan club presale and radio station presales where applicable?

I've never had a problem getting tickets for any show I wanted to see, eithr by using the presale, or having all the info set up in Ticketmaster online on my computer and buying the second they become available. I've actually bought ticket numbers 00001 and 00002 in the past by doing this.

Sounds like a Jimmy Buffet issue, not a Ticketmaster issue. He's just so extremely popular = hard to get tix.

Now...their "service fee" -- that's my problem with them!

And concert ticket prices overall!! Don't even get me started!

True.

Jimmy Buffett is a world unto hisself. Getting tix for his show is impossible. I got shut-out by tm for Camden. I'm going to call the brokers.

I never knew this existed until last week. A friend was trying to get tickets, and was able to get them before they went on sale to the general public by using a code on tisketmaster. Apparently someone she knows purchased the code. No wonder I can never get decent tickets to any concerts. BTW - I won mine thorough a radio station promotion. :Pinkbounc

Ticketmaster fees are annoying but whats worse is when individuals buy a row of $20/$10 family seats than consign them with brokers for over $100 each. :furious:

Most popular shows have a 2-8 ticket maximum.

On the day of show usually between 2-4 PM they will release any unneeded tickets from the artists allotment. I bought really, really good Dead seats about 15 years ago this way. You can always try that. Often the box office knows if there will be a release earlier in the day if you ask. These will only be available day of show at the box office, not through Ticketmaster, and the box office won't always tell you over teh phone.

Because I'm a music critic for a magazine here in Orlando I usually get free tickets to any show I want to go to (I sometimes buy them for shows I'm not reviewing). Usually they give me two tickets, but usually when I'm "working" I prefer to go alone.) So after I get my tickets from will call, I look around for a neatly dressed "normal" person who has that "I need a ticket" look and give them the extra ticket. They are usually shocked and want to know how much I want for it--I ask them to make a donation to the local food bank in the next few days instead. Puts a smile on their face and helps out a good cause :)

That is so cool. You probably make someone's week every time you do that!

I was talking about sporting events, not concerts, and with multiple computers, credit cards it is very easy to cirmcumvent ticketmaster's limits.

Best of luck finding your tix, OP.

That's a super nice thing to do! Ticket prices are so out of hand and I know that you really make some people happy doing this.

What really irks me about ticketmaster is that a $20 ticket winds up cost like $40 after all the service charges..... and how difficult is it to pick a specific section on the website. You can select by price category but not by section #. Stupid ticketmaster.

if you want to see where the buffett tix went look at ebay and see how much money they're going for already. They were listed there before the sale even started.

I tried to buy two tickets online to the Celtic Woman concert and Ticketmaster wanted $40 in fees.

$40! For two tickets! I said no way and drove to the box office to buy them.
