In figuring out last-minute logistics, I realized today I don't know how check-in / ticketing works at Universal.

We booked directly through Universal and check in at RPR on Sunday. We would like to take advantage of EE that morning. Do we go to the hotel to get tickets like at WDW, or can / should we get tickets at the park and then check in later in the day?

TIA!

Did you book a package that includes tickets or room only?

If you did room only, you can buy tickets online and pick them up at the kiosks
If you want to do EE in the day you check, buy/order pass tickets now

Oops! Mac and I posted at the same time.

If you ordered a package, in your e-information, you should have been given a code to use at the kiosks to get your tickets.

Ordered package.

Look in your email and see if you were given a confirmation code to use at the will-call kiosk to get your tickets. You had a few choices on how to take delivery of your tickets.

Tickets should be given to you at check in since you booked a package assuming you took that option

We got our tickets at check in when we did a package that included tickets last October. Once we checked in, we used a kiosk in the lobby of RPR to get the actual tickets and another to take our pictures for the EP.

Okay, I see ticket pick-up locations on documents now...I think I'm panicking b/c I haven't been to Universal in 15 years, and I have WDW memorized...

There are a few ways when doing a package for getting your tickets

Damo gave you other options but until you tell us which option you chose, we are spinning our wheels here

Give us a heads up so we can further assist you

Don't panic. Universal is sooooooo easy! And, as you can see, there are many of us here who are happy to help you to figure out whatever issues you may have.

Universal is so easy compared. Don't stress! Someone can not plan a minute and still have fun at Universal. Well... to an extent

Don't panic........it's easy.......

We never plan anything.......ever!!!

Absolutely no need to.........you have EP.....that makes a huge difference.......don't worry you'll have a ball........

Same here...we never plan anything at Uni. No reservations, no schedule, no game plan but to have fun!

What's the best website to buy Universal Studios tickets in advance? I think I'll go for the official site because I don't know if the others are trustworthy, but please let me know if there are any decent ones offering a discount.

We use Undercover Tourist. We've used them for both Disney tickets and for Universal tickets. They are very reliable and we have never had any problems.

Best of Orlando
UT
Mapleleaf
Are 3 rd party vendors that reliable and honest

UO website also reliable and efficient

You need to check them out as a few places can save you a few bucks

I use them for Disney tickets
But use UO site for specific hard ticket events

I recently stated at RPR (last November/December). Go to the hotel (if possible) prior to park opening. You can check-in, leave your bags, and receive your Express Pass tickets (you get them at a kiosk near the check-in counter). That way you get in the park early and come back to your room and call to have your luggage delivered.

FYI, I personally used Undercover Tourist for my UO tickets. Saved me a little bit over buying them direct from UO.

I would go early to get my Express Pass and stash my luggage. Get the tickets from whatever kiosk I can get them from. And go for early entry!

I used Mapleleaf for the last two years. They charge shipping but even with the shipping they are usually a couple dollars cheaper than undercover tourist plus if you go to the allears website and do a search there is a discount code for like 10% that makes it an even better value.
