My dh,dd,ds, my mom, and I are going to the world. We will be there 14days, my mom only 7.(one week onsite one off) We have 7 day tics now, can I upgrade my dd's, dh's, and my tic to a 10 day when we get there and leave my moms at a 7 day?
Thank you.....

It sounds like you didn't book a package and if that's the case, you can definitely upgrade the tickets when you get there. That can either be done at your resort's Concierge Desk or at any of the theme parks. Very simple to do.

If you're not booking a package with DDP, you may want to consider upgrading one ticket to an AP and ordering the DDE. If you don't have free dining, you might want to calculate your food $$ saved vs. the added expense of the upgrade to an AP and the cost of the DDE.

We stay offsite and one of us has an AP, the other buy multi day admission media. We have one DDE card which is good for up to 10 people at a time--that works well for us.:hippie:

Wait... why would having a package make a difference?

We have what we believe to be 1 day park hoppers leftover from 2000, 2 day park hoppers leftover from 2005 with 1 water park & more option and have purchased 3 day hoppers with our fdp package for sept. The man I booked my package didn't tell me that I couldn't upgrade them. I told him I wasn't positive my leftover days were correct so on the safe side we were going to buy 3 day hoppers and that we could always add on days or options once there. He didn't say I couldn't.

Are you SURE we can't? Cuz then I'll be in a pickle!!

What I was trying to say is that if you didn't have the Dining Plan, it may save you money to upgrade one of the tickets to an annual pass and buy the DDE card to use for your meals. I see by your new post that you have fdp--free dining plan, to it's a moot point. (Lucky you!!!):hippie:

Regarding the usused portion of your old tickets, the only way to know for sure if there's any remaining portion to apply to upgrades, is to present the media to customer service person handling the ticket media either at the resort or at the service area at any theme park. :confused3 The CM will tell you the most inexpensive way to get the days you want.

Have a great trip!

Yes I have the fdp package, we will be using 7 day of our tics the week we stay onsite, then we move off site for a week and use the last 3 days of our tics. My mom will only be with us for the week onsite and only needs a 7 day tic. Can I upgrade my tic after we check out of asmu or would that cost more? Sorry I've never been so it all new to me. I don't know if I have to buy my mom a 10 day tic too even if she wont use all of it?

You can upgrade the package tickets one at a time, independently of each other, as soon as you get them, which would be just after check in. Or as late as on the 13'th day after the day you started using them. For package tickets the upgrading cost would be the same. For non-package tickets purchased at a discount the cost of upgrading might be higher if you upgrade prior to first usage.

The upgrade to annual pass, if desired, must be done at a park or at Downtown Disney.

After a three day ticket runs out halfway through your vacation you may decide that the cost to add more days to it is low enough that you would rather not use up the leftover tickets you brought instead.
