Okay, the search function is not working(crazy blue dog). DHs work is giving away single day parkhopper tickets for door prizes at their Christmas party. We are going to Disneyland next month. If we can get our hands on one of those single day park hoppers are they upgradeable to a 4 day parkhopper? I know we have added days to our park hoppers before(4 day to a 5 day). Has anyone else done this? And where would we do this? Ticket booths out front?

One can upgrade, be it from a one day ticket or so on. To the best of my knowledge, it would be at the ticket booth, where one will upgrade.

I wanted to make sure that my memory was serving me correctly, which it was thank goodness :)

Upgrading Tickets

You can apply the value of an unused ticket or pass, or even a partially used one with days left on it, toward the purchase of a higher-priced pass, as long as you do it before your pass expires. For instance, if you buy a 3-Day Park Hopper and then decide on the third day of use that you'd rather have an Annual Pass, you can apply the value of the Park Hopper toward the Annual Pass. Discounted passes will be credited at the actual rates you paid (that info is encoded on the ticket). To upgrade a ticket, go to any Guest Services window.

You are most welcome! :)

That sounds like a very nice company to work for.

It is. Dh works for the local Toyota dealership. They treat him very well. Keeping my fingers crossed that we'll win the door prize, sure would save us some money.

That is nice and good to read. It is my understanding that Toyota's sell very well. Thank goodness! :) Here is hoping that each one of you will win that very nice door prize. If you do win, and are going next year, and can go on your birthday or your husbands birthday, you can get a second day admission for free.
Have you been playing Disney's instant on line sweepstakes? Not only will you have an opportunity to win an instant prize, but with each play you will become automatically entered into the grand prize drawing for a trip for four people to Dl in Ca. or to WDW. This sweepstakes runs through next year.

I have the link on this thread page one:

Am keeping my fingers crossed for great car sales, continuing low gasoline prices, and an economy that finally will become good for us all. And again, for you both winning the door prize.

If those tickets are marked as complimentary tickets, they will show up as a zero upgrade value.

So hope the company paid for them!

Thanks for the good luck wishes, Gisele. I have played the online sweepstakes, but only once. I need to do it more often.

Bumbershoot, thanks for the heads up. My best guess is they got the tickets from Safeway. Thats the only place in our town that would sell them. I don't know that they would have the connections needed to get comp. tickets. Either way will be okay. We will upgrade if possible and if not just take advantage of the free one day.

It's my youngest DDs 10th B-day while we are there. I got her all signed up for the free entry on her b-day. It is so cool that Disney is doing that.

Thanks again for the info everyone!

Just an fyi, we had a friend who did a timeshare presentation and their "free" gift was DL tickets, they had no value so they were unable to upgrade them. Instead they used them for 1 day of admission and then purchased the remaining days as park hoppers. So, they used the free tickets and then the following day went to the ticket booths and bought 2 day hoppers for the other 2 days they were going to be there. :) We have had the DL ticket offers for our timeshare but we always ask if there is an alternate prize we can get because we have AP's. :)
