Ticket refunds for closing?

I made a new resort reservation for June...
I need to have valid dated tickets to make my FP next month.
I would absolutely stop all worry and do not call for at least a week (maybe more.)
Disney Phone CMs must be absolutely crazy at this point.

There is no rush.
It will all be worked out for you in time.

Along these lines, DOD just shut down all travel and we bought tickets through Shades. Our service member is in Hawaii and doubt will be able to make it since we go right after it ends April 30. The tickets through Shades are non-refundable but do you think they will make exceptions? And no. The trip can’t be moved to before the end of the year due to their schedule.

I have been on the phone all night, passed around to different people and no one can help or has a clue. I made a new resort reservation for June and my tickets still show March dates. I cannot modify the dates online. No one seems to know how to change the dates of my tickets. They just keep saying my tickets are good until December. I understand this. But I need to have valid dated tickets to make my FP next month. What a mess.
I have literally exact same issue tickets showing my March 21-27 dates and rebooked for August. MDE won’t let me move them only thing that shows is reassign. I called Disney and the guy was zero help, told me just to book my FP in June and I kept explaining that my assigned ticket dates were in March! He said to call back later date and they will sort it out. It’s frustrating but I assume they will fix it in a couple weeks, guessing Disney IT is only department that will be able to reassign new ticket start date And don’t feel like waiting two hours

Glad it's not just me! We are in the same boat it seems. I will let you know if anything changes.

So I cancelled my end of March trip yesterday and now I'm just wondering how long it will take for the refund to show up in the bank. Any ideas?

As to tickets bought directly from Disney not sure on the other sites like military and Undercover Tourist, my nephew was getting married today and spent Friday canceling their trip to WDW. He cancelled their flight and hotel (finally getting through) and Disney told him on their tickets they could get a refund or use them by December. At this point they are going to try and reschedule before then in their case.

Thoughts on my situation?
We are booked for mid May. I have everything set (FP, tickets, resorts, ADR, flights, PTO granted). But, I’m concerned Disney still won’t be up and running by then.

I could go in June, but the costs would be quite a bit higher. The resorts are more expensive than the deal I booked, but I realize there’s nothing I can do about that. Additionally, I bought our tickets before the price increase, so canceling them to rebook would make us subject to the new prices. Because Disney hasn’t announced closures for May (yet), mine haven’t converted to flexible date tickets. If I wait until May to see what’s happening, I’ll lose the 60-day FP window for June.

Obviously personal to everyone’s individual situations, but I am making/keeping plans based on current information about park closures and will adjust plans later on when/if needed based on any park closure extensions and/or conditions regarding the virus in general. (And also keeping an eye on economic conditions which may impact my leisure spending choices)

So I’m more in the plan as usual / see how things develop camp.

We don't know what Disney will do.
They MIGHT make several changes to their pricing for resorts and/or dated tickets.
(They have already made several decisions with changes AT WDW that MIGHT very well affect whether guests will be less inclined to want to visit on X dates.)
We can only wait and see.

We had friends that just had their trip cut short by a few days and they said Disney reimbursed them fully for the hotel, tickets, food, and airfare. Not sure if this is true but just passing along :)

I have a May trip planned that I need to decide on in the next 2 weeks (DVC banking deadline). My son has military salute certificate for this trip (obv not activated yet). If he doesn't make this May trip, he will not be able to use this ticket this year due to military plans. Do you think these will be extended or refunded? We're trying to find a plan b, but no luck so far. When I can go, he can't and when he can go, I can't. I have a plan c that may work out that involves his military spouse sister using the ticket, assuming I can get it reassigned to her, app is not giving me the option to reassign.

I will keep searching, but thought I'd ask in case someone already knows.

NO! They will not refund, only extended. I started another thread about this.
