We are having a family reunion in Dec 2014. There are 17 of us total...4 of us (my family) have annual passes. We are DVC members and have already made our room reservations. Now we need tickets for the rest of the family. We need 13 adult passes and 1 child pass. I am looking at 4 day passes for everyone and would like to have hoppers if we can. What is the most economical way (and easiest way) to get tickets for this amount of people? Also....do I have to have ticket media put on magic band before getting to Disney and if I don't put ticket media on can we still make fast pass ressies? THANKS!
Too bad you didn't ask for help last month when Ebates was offering 20% cash back on Disney ticket purchases. Now I think the cash back is 6.5%. if you sign up for an ebates account and buy the tickets through Orbits you can get 6.50% cash back. Or you can try undercover tourist for tickets. They are a good company to deal with. We have used them several times to get tickets.
Yes your tickets will have to be linked to your MB in order to make FP+ reservations. Or you can make FP+ reservations the day of at the park.
Here is the link to the 20% off at Ebates that might help you understand how ebates works.
We did this with our family of 14 and stayed DVC. I found that the best value for tickets was undercovertourist.com (using the link with mousesavers.com for the discount) We added the tickets to the rooms to get our magicbands and were able to do Fast Passes online.
Also, with our large group...it was easier to get a meal plan (which DVC can do without purchasing tickets through Disney.) People have different "spend levels" when it comes to dining out. The meal plan made it easy.
