We are considering purchasing the Unlimited Magic (length-of-stay) tickets at OKW. I read on another board that sometimes they will take your arrival and/or departure date off of these which is what we would want them to do otherwise we will get a regular park hopper. Has anyone had them do this successfully?

Also, we have a 2-bedroom unit and one set of grandparents are only staying part of the week. Would they let them get a shorter length-of-stay pass than the rest of us?

The LOS have to be purchased by all the parties for the length of stay (exception being for those with an annual pass). They will remove either the first or last day, sometimes both, depends on the CM, but, they cannot do more than that.

We have purchased UMP's for guests twice in the past year. In both cases, the arrival and departure days were not included in the pass.

Just ask the CM to assist with the days.

Good Luck!

the last two years (and this year as well, I hope) we purchased the length of stay ticket without the arrival and departure days. Don't forget to get the discount on the ticket at the front desk beacuse you're a DVC member.

28 days and counting......... OKW bound

Our friend's son only joins them for part of the trip and they get an UMP for him (just the few days he's there). They don't buy UMP's at all they have annuals, so I know not everyone needs to buy them.

When we checked in back on Jan 7th the CM and we were getting UMPs the CM asked if we needed Monday (Checkin day) included, then he asked if we needed Friday (check Out day). So as others have said you can get either/both check in and check out days dropped from the passes.

It sounds like people have had conflicting experiences with this. Anyone else been able to get guests shorter UMPs than the rest of their party is staying? Thanks for all of the responses so far!

Not everyone staying in the room has to buy the UMP, but I think that all UMP's have to be for the same number of days and same days. (ie- if one drops only the first day- all must drop only the first day.)

If you have someone joining you 3 days into the stay, they would still have to get a UMP from the beginning of the reservation- not just when they arrived- unless you want to have a separate reservation for the time they will be with you. The passes must be for the length of stay- minus the 1st and last day in some cases. You can't pick which days you want otherwise. Those would need a Hopper pass.

Good Luck!

Well, we did this once but it was fairly complicated. I went up and added the last arrival to the resevation on the third day of our stay. This did involve adding the $10 per night for the extra adult to our room rate (which is why we added her late!) We then bought her a UMP for the rest of the stay. I think the reason we could do it is that she was officially arriving late!

We are staying for a week (Sat-Sat) in an OKW 2-bedroom which has an occupancy of 8 people. 2 of the people are just coming (Sat-Mon) so that is what I am trying to find out - can they get the UMP pass if the rest of us do them for Sat-Sat?

I am confused. This will be my first trip Home and I am planning to be there 03/03/02 - 03/08/02. On the day of arrival and the day of departure I will not be going to the parks at all, so I am looking at 4 days of park hopping. On this site the ticket choices that I am looking at are the length of stay (UMP) or the 4 day park hopper with my DVC discount. If I go with the UMP will I need to use the 3 night 4 day or the 4 night 5 day to get all 4 days in. Thanks for any help. These boards have helped me save time and money.
