We will be travelling to Orlando, from the UK,on the 23rd March and leaving on the 13th April (full day packing up, getting to airport etc)
We all have annual passes (DD (7), DH and myself)
I have a preferred pass that expires on 10th April, DD and DH's power passes expire next month so I have to re-new now (before the 30 day limit, to get the better deal
- a saving of around £100 )
My question is - how would be the best, most money conscious way, to go ahead?
I am seriously thinking of leaving my pass be but re-newing DD, and DH's.
If I re-new with power passes they will have black out dates from 10th April - but I won't have a valid pass anyway
.
I have confirmation, form Universal, that we can get the pass money back, should we need to cancel.
Money is a really big issue for us at the moment as we are waiting to see whether DH needs further surgery on his brain tumour (so no income from work for a while if he does-if he even gets through the op - no dramatics, just facts
)
Not going at all doesn't even figure in the picture as everything, bar the park tickets, is paid for and unrefundable due to cancellation being due to a pre-existing medical condition (long term, 15 years, going to get worse, not better
).
My questions are,
1) Is there any way to get tickets cheaper ($106 for an annual pass?)
2) How likely am I likely to be able to get tickets as part of a timeshare presentation - for the remaining 2 days we won't have tickets?
I don't expect anyone to come up with miracles but any suggestions would be much appreciated
Before anyone asks, the reason we booked for Easter is because DH wasn't due an MRI scan until Feb 2006 so I thought we'd be away whilst we were waiting for scan results.
As a result of hospital protocol etc, the scan was brought forward to Dec 2005, but with no way of knowing the outcome until the end of Jan 2006, at least!
Thank you for any help.
Thanks.
Alison
