I just purchased two, two day, two park, aldult tickets that came with two free child tickets. Myself, wife and daughter will be at Universal next week. This leaves me with an extra childs ticket. My question is can I save this ticket for future use for my daughter? Is it somehow linked to the other tickets so that it will expire within four days of us using the other three tickets? Thanks for any help with this.

You can save it and use it on a future visit. Even though it was purchased as a package, the other child's ticket won't expire until 5 days after you use it. BTW, you'll get extra (free) days on each of your tickets, not just the 2 days you paid for.

I'm pretty sure that those tickets must be used by April 30. You may want to check the website to be sure.

They will expire 4 days after the first use. The website now says the expiration is Dec. 31, 2006 not April.

One FREE KIDS (ages 3-9) 2-Day ticket is included with each 2-Day day ticket purchased online at the regular price of $99.95 plus tax!

As an added bonus, purchase online now and receive 2 additional days FREE. That’s up to four consecutive days of unlimited admission to both Universal theme parks for you and your kid!

This exclusive online offer must be purchased before January 1, 2006, used by April 30, 2006, and is not available at the gate.

Thanks for the info. We'll be using ours by April 30 but I had called Universal when I thought we would be there over the next weekend and was told they would no longer be valid.

Possible the person you talked to didn't know the offer had been extended to Dec. 31.

:rotfl2: I think we need to post a thread that says something like DONT ARGUE WITH PHAMTON......

Nah, they can argue with me. Heck, I have 5 kids and am used to that. ;)

I understand people worrying about these tickets. I remember a few years ago purchasing the "Fun in the Sun" tickets for Disney. They are marketed to UK visitors. I panicked when everyone said I wouldn't be able to use them. I even called Disney and they said they were only for UK visitors. I had purchased them from Ticket Mania. They assured me that they were good. They also told them that most "Fun in the Sun" tickets were only for the UK visitors but that Disney had released some that could be used by anyone. A kind castmember from Disney assured me that I would have no problem using them. I sweated it out waiting for my trip just knowing I had thrown my money away on tickets I couldn't use. I nervously went to Epcot to redeem them and had absolutely no problem at all.

So I do understand. If someone is worried, about these Bonus tickets, then just don't purchase them. It's not worth losing sleep over. I was worried for months about my ticket purchase of the FITS tickets and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through that.

I'm not arguing with phamtom. Nor do I think the conversation was anything to laugh at. As everyone else on this board, I was just giving the information that had been provided to me.

Again, thank you phantom for your obviously more correct information.

Based on my conversation with Universal today, I agree with Phamton. We just received our tickets. We purchased 3 adult tickets and received 3 "children" tickets for free. When I looked at them, two things stood out. First, all 6 tickets looked exactly the same, and second, they did not have any documentation about expiring. The only expiration wording on them is that they expire 4 days after initial use.

I called Universal to ask about this. The girl said the 6 tickets are all the same, no adult or child designation. The way she answered the expiration question was very shaky. She thought that they didn't expire, but said to use them before April 30th "just to be safe". You could tell she didn't know the real answer.

I don't see how they could enforce the April 30th expiration unless there was some written documentation. Just my two cents.

Thanks,
Dan.

We received our tickets today as well and there is definitely no designation between adult/child or an expiration date printed anywhere. I originally requested kiosk pick-up but then called back and asked for them to be FedEx'd. We ordered a total of 8 tickets and had to do it as two separate transactions. The gentleman helping me was kind enough to combine the orders so I only had to pay one shipping charge. We aren't going until April so I got nervous about waiting three months to pick up the tickets.

Thank you phamton for all the wonderful information you have provided regarding these tickets (US should thank you too as we weren't even planning on doing US/IOA during this visit until we saw what a great deal the tickets were!).

Did you notice that your tickets were for 5 days instead of just 4 days? The website says buy two days, get two days free but the Bonus Tickets are actually buy 2 days/ get 3 days free. It's a nice surprise!

Yes -- I did notice that and was very happy about it! :goodvibes

Now I just have to hope that the parks won't be too crowded during our visit with all the people using these wonderful tickets (aren't I the selfish one? :teeth: )

BTW, do you know what nights of the week they do the Mardi Gras parade? We may have to adjust our schedule a bit to make sure we get to experience it.

Mardi Gras will be every Saturday night (February 11 – April 22).

Welp--I am so happy to see this post!! We ordered the same tickets and I was so surprised when they came in--no expiration date and 5 days! We got six, but only had needed 5--so now we are bringing my bil along with us! My kids 10,7, and 6 are such Nick freaks and my oldest loves Universal. We are so excited...going April 2-7....Anyone going to be there during that time?

I just noticed on the Universal website that the 2 day with 3 day free and free child tickets deal, now lists an expiration date of Dec 06 instead of April 06. I bought the tickets when it said April 06 expiration, and I was told that they won't expire, so I hope that these are the same tickets and will not expire. I got the tickets and they don't have expiration date listed.

They will be good. Looks like they plan on selling them for another year. WooHoo!

so, if i order 1 adult ticket, and get the free childs ticket with it, will i be able to upgrade that to an adult ticket, or will that even be needed?? i have read and re-read this topic, and i am pretty sure i know the answer, but i figured it wouldnt hurt to just out and out ask....thanks so much in advance for your help...
