I bet this has been discussed but I can't find the answer. We were discussing getting an AP for one of us and 7 day tickets for the rest of the family. I was thinking of getting us premium tickets so that we can do waterparks etc. I don't think we will use all of the pluses so we may want to do the no expiration option. If I order the tickets as 7 day premium w/ no expiration and we decide later on that we want to upgrade to 10 day tickets, can I still do that if it has no ex on it already? A 7 day no ex option is $55 but it is $100 for a 10 day. I am assuming that if we upgrade we will have to pay the difference between the ticket cost and the difference in the no ex option as well. Is that correct or would we just have to pay the difference in ticket price?

Thanks!

Yes you can add more days to a non-expiring ticket. The 5'th day costs $30., the 6'th day costs $14., the 7'th day costs $14., the 8'th costs $51., the 9'th costs $4. and the 10'th costs $4. including the added non-expiration needed, regardless of whether the ticket was purchased at an advance discount, purchased at a Disney store, has plusses, or was partly used.

I'm told you need to do this in the first 14 days of the tickets usage life, after that all the rules change -- you must use the pro-rated trade-up formula instead.
