If I purchase a non-hopping tickets and want to upgrade them to hoppers while at WDW, can that be done? Also, if I buy 6-day tickets and want to add a day or two while there, can that be done?

I've been reading posts saying that it's possible WDW could change their policy and you wouldn't be able to upgrade your already-purchased tickets. Really? And would it make a different if I bought the tickets directly through Disney or through a ticket broker like UT?

It'd be pointless for me to save $30 or so buying tix from UT if there's a possibility I wouldn't be able to upgrade later.

I'm going in March 2017, btw.

Thanks for any advice about this.

Yes and yes. You can upgrade and add at any time.

I don't follow all Disney posts that closely, but I'd be shocked if they change their policy about allowing upgrades. It would be shooting themselves in the foot financially.

Yes.

Yes. I've done so several times.

Doubtful.
Do you think Disney would tun down getting more money from you? Also, Disney advertises in many places that tickets can be upgraded to hoppers or add days at any time....I think its part of the monorail spiel. They might not be legally able to change that kind of policy, without being at risk of some sort-of false advertising compliant.

Same answer as the previous question. It would be turning down getting more money from you and changing the options that they advertise can be added to the ticket.

Many thanks for your reply, GrnMtnMan. (And--oops!--typo different not difference.)

I was thinking of maybe just buying 4-day nonhoppers, then I realized that if I do, I won't be able to make FP+ reservations, so maybe I won't do that.

I see from your signature that you go to WDW in the hot months. I can't even face October! :sunny:

Thanks again.

Can you please point me (links) to any of those posts (on this or other sites?)

(And, no, I wouldn't worry about Disney stopping upgrades.)

Robo--I shall fret no more. Not just about this, but about anything. :flower1:
