We have not been to the parks since 2010 so before magic bands and FP+. My question is because the trip is so expensive we are spreading out what we are paying for. We are going the week between xmas and new years and so we paid for our room now, going to buy airfare hopefully next month and are going to wait to buy the tickets till prob right before we need them.

Our first park day is Dec 26 so I know I can make FP on Nov 26. My question is if we buy the passes online say Nov 1 how does that work. Do you just get a voucher and if so does it have the indiv ticket numbers so I can link them to MDE? I also bought 3 magic bands last year for a trip we were supposed to take this past June that we had to cancel so I want to link them to those. It seems like I remember in the past we got the tickets mailed to us but just wondering how that all works.

And am I right in assuming that since we are offiste when the day comes up I need to do my FP each day? In other words on Nov 26 for Dec 26 and Nov 27 for Dec 27 etc or once you are in 30 days can you make them all?

And one last question, we are hoping to do Memory Maker and was wondering too if you buy it online do you get the number immediately that I can link and also how do I link the other members of my family. By their ticket numbers?

Sorry for so many questions but this is all new to me and since we decided to go at the absolute busiest time of year I am freaking cuz I know we are already at a disadvantage staying offiste and I'm afraid we won't get anything.

Thanks!!!

1. You don't need a voucher.
When you buy the tickets, their numbers will go into you MDE account.
2. You won't even need the actual tickets. You can just use your MagicBands.
3. Yes.
4. Everyone can be linked in your MDE account.

Robo did a great job answering your other questions (as Robo always does!) but regarding purchasing Memory Maker, my boyfriend purchased that for us and because he and I had our accounts linked, it automatically showed up in my My Disney Experience as well. The time I purchased it for us, it immediately showed up in my account and I didn't have to link anything. As always there could be a glitch sometimes but I would think a quick call to Disney would solve that. Anytime I've had that type of issue the phone line was able to resolve it in a very speedy manner.

As for linking the other family members, I believe what I had to do was send a request to them via email, which they then accepted and now I can see them in MDE. I'm not sure how you'd do it if they don't have email, but ticket numbers would make sense. For instance, my friend is a CM and I invited her to be linked to me via email so I could make dinner reservations for us, and now when I go in MDE I can see her plans and CM "ticket" as well after she accepted the invite.

Yea the reason I was concerned is because I set up the MDE in my name is the main person and then added my parents and my 2 daughters. They are on there to link for like dinning but my mom is the actual one paying so I guess what I am saying is if she uses her card and she is not the primary for MDE how do they get linked?? And even though she was going to pay for the Memory maker I was going to have it linked to me and then of course I wanted to link everyone else. My daughters and I have the magic bands. (we bought the special ones this past xmas). We are staying offsite so won't automatically get them from disney. My parents were just going to use the paper tickets or they may buy some basic magic bands when we get there not sure yet but I know it would be so much easier if we had a vacation package. That is why I am worrying because we are doing it ala carte LOL. Just want to make sure everything works because going that week I know is going to be crazy LOL

When you say you are purchasing tickets online - do you mean from the Disney site, or a third party site like Undercover Tourist? If using UT or Parksavers, yes you will get a number that you link to your MDE. If you buy direct from Disney, it is just automatically linked. UT can have a backlog - I ended up having to pay $5 for them to rush ship my tickets so I could link them.

I will probably buy them from the Disney site so if that's the case that's perfect. Thanks!!

You did not need UT to ship you your tickets in order to link them to your MDE account.

You can request that they email you the ticket numbers so you can link them to your MDE account or,
you can buy your UT as "eTickets" and use their numbers to link them to your MDE account.

They weren't selling E-tickets at the time unfortunately. It was when the prices changes and they only had the actual tickets. I called them and spoke to them, and they said they had like a week plus backlog of things to get through and my tickets wouldn't be processed until then. Otherwise I think they could have emailed me a copy but they can only do that once the order is processed. I was highly annoyed. I have bought from them in the past and got the e-tickets. But apparently not this time and my FP window was opening, so I had no choice 8o(
