Ticket question

I'm finding it so hard to figure out how to get the best ticket option!
I'm buying one ap for the hotel discount. I can only buy directly from universal correct? Then for our other 3 tickets I'm thinking the 3 park unlimited is the best match to aps we plan 3 nights 4 days but will be in the area beforehand so that would allow us to pop in if we wanted. I don't think there is any way we would upgrade to all annual passes.
So do I order the 3 others from undercover tourist?

You can get an AP from AAA as well but it is easier to get it through the Universal website and pick it up at a kiosk. The 3 park passes are the cheapest option for more than 4 days but if there is any chance you're going to come back, I would consider getter the power passes. We got 4 day passes and upgraded them at the park to power passes and got a refund of $1.09 for each pass. It seems like Universal is now giving you gate prices for your tickets when you upgrade them, so the power pass is about the same price as the 4 day park to park ticket.
