Ticket question

I am going to DL 7/3-7/6. I am planning to purchase premium annual passes while we are there. I was going to get the "best" deal priced tickets on aRes for all of us and then upgrade, but have read that DL does not consistently bridge your tickets, so getting a discounted ticket won't help any. My mother will be travelling with us, but not getting a AP, so I will purchase the best priced ticket for the number of days for her.
So, I still want to get a regular ticket for our first day, so we can get the MM that day. But I don't see any incentive (except to have less outlay at the upgrade time) to buy more than a single day pass.

Am I missing something in my thinking?

Are you staying onsite? If not, you only get MM with 3 day or more PHs. You can find slight discounts on annual passes. Try AAA or way.com.

I believe you have to have at least a three day ticket in order to get MM.

Here's a link to their ticket info.

I wish we lived close enough for an easy drive. If we did I'd have an annual pass for sure. Portland, OR to Anaheim, CA is a long drive in my book.

Have a fun trip.

Duh, I knew that. Thanks for reminding me. No, we are not staying onsite.
Okay, so the plan would be to buy 3 day PH for my family and the 5day PH for my mom. Then upgrade after the first day. Then we don't have to worry about parking fees.

Geemo- we don't live that close, up in the SF area, but I guess we are half as close as you are!
We haven't been to DL for almost 4 years, but I am hoping if we have passes, we can make a couple weekend trips and a longer trip next summer. My SIL lives in Irvine, so we always stay with her last minute, if we can't get into our timeshare.

Though DLR does not consistently bridge, it does happen sometimes. I had discounted 4 day PHs and upgraded to deluxe APs last month. The price difference was bridged. I purchased 3 day + 1 bonus day PHs from Orbitz.

Just to make sure, but once you upgrade to the AP, you'll lose the MM benefit. So make sure to upgrade after you use your MM.

I usually buy tickets when needed through our credit union. We save just under $20 a ticket, and they always bridge on the tickets from our CU.

way.com has the premium AP for $639, a savings of $30 each. You won't get a magic morning this way, though. I'm not sure how many "all of us" is, but if there are 4 of you getting the AP's, that's a savings of $120! To me, MM isn't worth $120.
