Ticket Question (though I think I know the answer)

I'm still finalizing our plans for a November trip. I was thinking about booking for Nov. 1-12, arriving the evening of the 1st and leaving the evening of the 12th. We wouldn't need park tickets for the 1st but would for the 2d-12th. However, that is 11 days, and it looks like I can only purchase 10 days worth of tickets. Does that mean I'd have to purchase 10 days of tickets and then an expensive 1 day ticket for the 11th day?

We also are thinking about taking a trip to Universal while there, so a 10 day ticket may work anyway. However, I want to make sure I understand how that would work. If we went to a Disney park from Nov. 2-8, Universal on Nov. 9, and Disney again Nov. 10-12, our 10 day ticket would still be good on the 12th, correct? In other words, we would have a 10 day ticket that has to be used within 14 days of first use?

Yes, from what I know the maximum length ticket available to US residents is 10 days.

And yes, once you start to use your tickets they expire within 14 days, but you can take a "day off" and visit Universal. The use does not need to be consecutive days.

If you buy the Park Hopper Plus, you could spend a day (or more) at the Water Park and/or the other "plus" options.
If you are already going to buy Hoppers, adding the "Plus" only costs $15 per ticket.

And if you plan on MVMCP, you can just plan to attend the party that night and choose to have a resort or Disney Springs day. You wouldn't need a regular park ticket for that day.

Honestly, you might look into an annual pass if you are going to spend that long. Especially if you may come back in the next year. You would get Memory Maker (I think that is $150) free parking and discounts on food as compared to the 10 day PH.

Price difference is 697 (included tax) for the 10 day park hopper and memory maker or 829 (included tax) for the platinum AP. If you could save $130 with the dining discounts, it would be worth it to consider. You'd basically get the second trip in the year for free (ticket wise that is)

It's worth doing the math.

Never even thought about that. Thanks for the advice and I'll def do the math.
