I have an old non-exp ticket with one day left and plan to use it at MK. I am adding a one day ticket to Epcot/DHS/AK to the band (because MK costs a bit more now) but I plan to go to Epcot before MK. How can I be sure the ticket for Epcot is used when I go to that park instead of the ticket I plan to use for MK when both are on the band?

That's a really good question.

I have heard that there is a way to "prioritize" tickets on MDE in case you have multiple tickets linked to a single account. But, I have never figured out how to do it. I was also in a situation where someone in my party had two tickets linked, but as it turned out I didn't really care which one was used which day.

One option might be to enter Epcot using a plastic ticket rather than your MB. That should work, assuming that you get a plastic ticket. Then once that one is used up, the only one left on the MB will be your old NE one. The other option would be to demand to speak with a IT person (one of the people hanging around the entrance gates with iPads) before you go through the entrance to make sure the correct ticket is being used.

Good luck! The worst-case scenario is that you'll just have to spend $5 extra for the MK-eligible ticket when you don't need it (and go through some hassle).

(In fact, after typing that last sentence, I realized that you might as well just pay the extra $5 now, and then avoid any possible hassle that you might encounter. Seems worth it to me.)

Okay so a couple of things here.

If you already have both tickets linked to your MB you need to have them prioritized at guest relations. The gate will search for the first available ticket. If you go to Epcot first and your old ticket (that you intend to use at MK) is in the top of the list that one will get used first.

Simply using the plastic ticket you purchased for Epcot will not guarantee your other ticket will not be used. Unless you DO NOT link to your account. Once you link multiple tickets to your account all the tickets will be "stacked" on every piece of media you have. So both tickets will be on your magicband and your plastic ticket. So we are back to the point that you need to visit guest relations to prioritize the tickets.

Thank you- if it is a big hassle to prioritize it won't be worth the $5 I'm saving for sure. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
