Ticket question: Can you upgrade regular ticket to convention ticket?

I have an unused peak season 1-day MK ticket.

Now it seems I need multiday admission.

Can I use the amount paid for the 1day ticket ($132 with tax) as a credit toward a 2-day or longer convention-priced ticket ($193 and up)?

Can I do this ahead of arrival over the phone?

Worst case, the regular 2-day price is $215 with no convention discount. Can I do that upgrade in advance of arrival?

Will this affect existing FPs?

Usually convention tickets are purchased through a website specific to the convention, not at the regular ticket windows. So unless that information is incorrect as I know it, I don't see how you could do what you're asking.

Ok. So to clarify -

I cannot upgrade my ticket to a multiday convention ticket, but I can upgrade to a regular price 2-day ticket, and do it on arrival?

I understand that I can only make 1 day of FP currently. My 3rd question was whether upgrading would cause problems with the 1 day of FPs that are already reserved. I don't necessarily need to make advance FPs for the additional day.

Ticket booths don't have access to meeting & convention tickets to sell or upgrade, so if you are able to do this (and I don't know that you are), it'd be at Guest Relations.

For future reference. . .

The convention ticket line people are very helpful. They have jumped through hoops for me before and tried again today. It seems that if I had a ticket in hand with a ticket # (didn't have that) or if the ticket was on an order all by itself with the confirmation number (it wasn't - I purchased party tickets at the same time), then Rose could have done an upgrade on the phone. Instead, she was able to process a completely new order at convention pricing and have me link that in MDE. She then refunded my credit card for the original ticket purchase.

So, I got the pricing I wanted. Hopefully the credit shows up, I have no issues at the tapstiles (looks good so far in MDE), and my FPs don't get screwy (also look good for now, my MDE was never without an eligible ticket being linked).
