Ticket Purchase

Do I need to just purchase the regular 4 day park to park ticket online instead of the Express Pass ticket as I am staying at one of the onsite resorts? Then once we check in we use our room key for the Express Pass correct?

That is correct; your room key is your express pass. Your park tickets are separate.

Not only that, but your room key is better than the standard purchased Express pass--it is good only once per attraction, while your room key gives you unlimited access.
