Hi,

Can someone please explain something to me? On the Disneyland.com web site, they say that general admission tickets are $47 a day.

But then they say they have a special offer where you can get a 5 day pass "for the price of three days" valued at $119.

But the math doesn't work. 47x3=141. Not 119.

Help? There's something this bonehead's not getting.

The $119 price is the actual price for a 3 day pass, which is a discounted rate versus 3 one-day tickets. But this pass also allows you to park-hop between DCA and DL, and now (for a limited time, or so they say) for that same $119, you get 5 days of visits.

Oh, lemme see if I got this right:

* It costs $141 to go to just one park for three days.
* It costs $119 to "park hop" for three days?

Is that right?

Quanity----the more you buy the less you pay. I'm sure they figure if you stay more days you will spend more in the parks--so they get their money that way.

Is this deal going to be going on for a while? I'm going to DL in April for five days so this would be perfect for me. I'll probably be looking at buying my tickets about a month before I go.

The 5 Day Hopper for the price of a 3 Day Hopper will be going on all year for the passes included in packages. Not sure about the gate admission passes, though.

Thanks :D It occured to me to go to Disneyland.com after I posted my last message and I saw the dates. Apparently you can buy them without them being part of a package, but only online. I'm not going to pass that up as it will save me $168 for three passes (more money for pins ;) )

The 5 for the price of 3 tickets can also be bought at the Disney Store. This will save the shipping fee of buying them on line.

If you buy at the gate, you pay full price, but you have 2 years to use the days. If you buy the discounted tickets, you have 14 days from the first date of use to use the tickets.

If you think you will be back with in a year, look into upgrading your park hopper to an Annual Pass. They will credit you with however much you paid for the park hopper towards the AP price. Check the blackout dates to determine which AP is right for you.

We upgraded to an AP for my daughter and me, and it gives me an excuese to go back.

We have saved so much with the AP discounts with the PAP, we will do it again this year.

Our neighbors (family of 5) were going to do the 5 day specials at Christmastime. I encouraged them to get one PAP for one adult. They were hesitent becasue this was a once a year trip. They were totally impressed with the savings.
