Ticket prices going up

Just got an email this morning from Mousesavers:

The big news in Orlando right now is that Walt Disney World ticket prices are expected to rise this Sunday, February 22nd, by about $5-$6 for a one-day ticket, with proportional increases for other tickets and annual passes. Disney has not confirmed this yet, but we’ve heard it from enough reliable sources to convince us this is the real deal.

They also said:

Also unconfirmed but completely plausible is a report that Disney will be eliminating the non-expiring ticket option as of Sunday. Old non-expiring tickets will still be honored; they just won’t sell any new ones

In recent years, DH and I have been doing a long weekend at WDW in the winter so we purchased 10 day non-expiring tickets a few years ago and have been using them up. Since we have only 1 day left after our recent trip, we took the opportunity to buy new ones from Undercover Tourist.

Undercover tourist is no longer selling non expiring tickets, bought some last month and now it is not even an option. Guess the rumors are true. Not happy.

Hmmm, I just went to Under cover tourist to purchase 10 day non expiration and it was not even an option! I called the 800 # and got a recording giving phone-in hrs from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Mon-Fri.!

Wow, that ticket option has disappeared since this morning. I guess I got in just in time. That's too bad, but we'll be good for a while since we're only using 1 or 2 days each year these days.

Wow, non-expiring were available at 11:30 this morning when I bought our tix.

I'm still seeing nonexpiration tickets - five to eight days with hopping, five to ten days without.

Maple Leaf Tickets still has 10 day non expiry hoppers.

Bought some from UT this morning. Looks like they have sold out of some non expiry options.

They took them down while verifying inventory. Once they are sold, the NE option will be gone.

Glad I got that MouseSavers email. We bought our four (3 adult, 1 child) 5 day park hoppers Saturday morning for $1345.85 (Disney Corporate partner 12% discount -- IBM). By midnight ET, those same tickets were over $1402. So we saved $57, or 4.2%. And I was able to use the remaining balance on my Disney Rewards Redemption Card to knock the price down a little more.

I still wish Disney let you buy tickets on the internet with Disney Gift Cards, like they allowed up until 2013 or so. That let you stack any Gift Card deals you got with the Corporate partner discount. Now you have to chose one discount or the other. Pre-pay online with the Corporate discount or use discounted Disney Gift Cards to buy tickets directly from Disney offline.

Thank you for replying with info. We have DVC AP(not happy with raw deal they gave us) but son and family coming in April and need tickets for them. Guess Disney forgot about all the other guests we bring in. Thinking of selling DVC after Oct/nov trip and seeing Osborne lights for one more time

Ok Orbitz seems more expensive I found Non Expire on Undercover Tourist and an allears.com link to mapleleaftickets. both still have non expire ticktetss...so has anyone used either? and do you get physical card and then add to MDE acct... son is the one purchasing and will travel and stay with us. thank you for any help.
