Below are the increases Disney is making to base ticket prices as of Thursday, according to the Orlando Sentinel:

1-day: $79 to $82 (+3.8%)
2-day: $156 to $162 (+3.8%)
3-day: $219 to $224 (+2.3%)
4-day: $225 to $232 (+3.1%)
5-day: $228 to $237 (+3.9%)
6-day: $231 to $242 (+4.8%)
7-day: $234 to $247 (+5.6%)

To add “park hopper” or water-park admission to base ticket: $52 to $54 (+3.8%)

Annual pass increases:

Premium (incl. water parks, etc.), non-resident: $619 to $629 (+1.6%)
Regular, non-resident: $489 to $499 (+2%)
Premium, Florida resident: $489 to $499 (+2%)
Regular, Florida resident: $369 to $379 (+2.7%)
Seasonal, Florida resident: $249 to $259 (+4%)

No word on the DVC prices for the AP. At this rate, the one day one park price will approach $100 in five years. Yikes!!!

Premium Passport 0% increase

The thread on the theme parks board says the regular AP is up $10 for adults.

I remember the first time we went to WDW, our 6-day hoppers cost less than $100 ($97, I think)

Just spoke with AAA and they honor old pricing until the 15th of the month despite the increase. A 10 day adult park hopper with water parks and no expiration is 548.94 per person. This seems like the best pricing if you go for about 5 days per year. As it is cheaper than a ANNUAL PASS and also gets you 10 visits to water parks, golf or Disney Quest that will never expire even if the ticket days are all used up. Does everyone agree....Too good of a deal to pass up for DVC owners...

Just want to say thanks for posting, we are going in 2 weeks and we buy AP's. I needed an adult and kids tik and just bought a few mins ago to save about $20......for basically doing nothing but reading disboard threads!

Who says DIS boards are a "time waster"? Its a "money saver!"

Prices should be reducing not increasing. Its getting more and more expensive to visit the place where dreams are made, it should be rename the place where monies easily made.

I sure am glad I went ahead and got our 7 day PH's last week. Saved us $15 each ticket. Like DW said that is the cost of a CS meal for the two of us.

Yep, bought our 7 APs a couple weeks ago after reading about the expected August increase. Saved $70 on something we were going to buy anyway. Love it!

We're going in October..but I have to wait until we arrive to purchase our tickets since we're going to be turning in our give a day vouchers

I convinced my husband that we should buy ours for our trip in March. Used an extra discount from mousesavers to save $220 on 6 day park hoppers for the 6 of us through undercover tourist. Happy to save some $ at least!:goodvibes

The Disney spokesperson comment regarding the increase in the prices:

“We continuously monitor the marketplace to ensure pricing that reflects a strong entertainment value,” Disney World spokesman Bryan Malenius said. “Our guests continue to agree that a day at a Disney theme park is a great entertainment value.”

Malenius said Disney guest surveys show that nearly 90 percent of resort guests rate the value of Disney parks as “good, very good or excellent.”

Simple Translation: We can charge anything we want.

Why? Don't you think Disney's expenses are increasing? You don't think their employees deserve raises? The cost of their employees health care is probably increasing. Along with insurance, utilities, etc. Just like everywhere else. It doesn't really run on pixie dust.

I totally agree!! If you were a CM, would you agree to work with no raise? I wouldn't!! Do people not realize that with time, prices go up? I would love to pay $14,000 for a 1500 square foot home, like my inlaws did in the 70s, but I would cry if my husband was being paid today what my father-in-law was making back then! I understand that the economy is not great out there, and we have had to find ways to cut our personal expenses, but we still have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for gas, milk, clothing, etc., but we do it.

Does their price increase cost me more? Yep. But you know, I am still going and I am going to have one  of a time!

Why don't we start a thread complaining about Taco Bell not charging $.10 a taco like they used to?!

I guess it is whatever is important to you. Disney is important to my family, and we will continue with our trips, even when the 1 day pass is $100.

Good thing there are plenty of near by things to do in Fl (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NASCAR and College football bowl games!! I can now go to a vacation, relax by the pool and eat dinner in my room with a view of animals, the boardwalk, Magic Kingdom:love:. And just relax.

But, that's why I got DVC:hippie: VACATION!!
