No way?! Is this true? If so, I'm up the creek! I'll stayed glued to the computer to see what others say.:surfweb:

It is speculation based on recent patterns from the last few years. Unless I missed it, there has been nothing official from Disney that has stated this.

Yes the email just said "Expected to go up on sunday" .

Will/Does Disney official announce this before it happens? As to give you time to purchase them before the price increases?

1) Yes we get some sort of confirmation before it happens (usually around Thursday or Friday before).

2) Was this for DLR or WDW? (However, Both happen around the same time).

Yes it was for DLR and WDW you can find all the info that came in my email on thr front page at: www.mousesavers.com

FWIW, last year the 5 for 3 promo tickets didn't go up in price after the other ticket prices did.

For some reason, ticket prices went up in the third week of September back in 2007 - in fact, it was right when HalloweenTime was starting. I was there that day and I missed the "old prices" by just a few hours, according to the CM at the ticket booth, whose computer was still trying to adjust to the price hike (much to her frustration).

But in 2008 and 2009 the prices went up in August, and I guess that is what's to be expected from here on out. To me, August seems like an odd time to raise them - it seems like it would make much more sense to do it at the very beginning of a year, or even at the very end of a year. I could be totally mistaken, but wasn't it believed that the reason for an August price hike had something to do with the fact that it is the end of a particular quarter or fiscal year for Disney?

In any case, along with the prices of Hoppers going up we will also see an increase in the Annual Pass prices, more than likely. Last year in August was when the PAP jumped from $389 to $429. And then I think the PAP jumped another $10 or something early this year, didn't it? (I haven't renewed my PAP yet so I blanked out on the price and I could be wrong, but I thought it went up slightly near the start of 2010, to $439?) So, what will the new AP prices be, I wonder?? Do you all think we will now be looking at $459 for a PAP? Or do you guess that it be higher than that? $469? $479?:scared1:

What a bummer if this is true! We cannot buy our tickets until we get there since we have two GAD vouchers that we are using to purchase DAP's. I hope it waits until after we get there for the Half. *Fingers crossed*

We were also going to purchase 1 PAP and I was going to get it this wk before the prices go up but we won't activate it until December. Is there an experation when the voucher can get activated(I know my start date won't start until I turn in the voucher) EX..

Can I buy the voucher now(july) for the 439 and not activate it till December 22nd. Almost 5 mnths early? When I called DLR no one seem to know:confused3

The AP vouchers do have expiration dates, but wrst case scenario is you'd have to pay the price difference.

We are in the same situation....:sad1:

My AP voucher doesn't expire until January 2011 so can they honestly change the price after you already purchase it when it's not expired?? They did just change all AP prices at the beg. of the year so I don't see those increasing, maybe just regular tix

Thanks thats good to know:thumbsup2
Just to make sure does that(January 2011) date printed on the voucher? Did they mail you the voucher or did you print it out online?

i printed it :) It's near the top in big letters. It states "REDEEM BY 01/05/2011"

here is an actual clip of the voucher where it says the redeem date on mine :)

If the voucher is still valid (used before the January 2011 date) then they will not charge you the price increase. If you trip is delayed and you do not go until say March, then they may/will charge you the difference between the price you paid and the current gate price.

good to know :) thanks! Glad my trip is coming up!! Wish it would come faster though dang it!! :D
