Do I have this correct, been awhile since I went
a 4 day hopper for nov is 606 after taxes. So almost 800 Canadian…ouch.

Yes, you have it correct.

Since WDW has 4 theme parks, they treat 1 to 4 day tickets essentially as 4 one-day tickets. You won’t see any appreciable ticket discount until you book 5 or more days.

And yes, WDW ticket prices have increased by a lot in the last few years, much faster than the rate of inflation.

Some of this higher ticket price is explained by Disney’s move towards a more livable wage for all Cast Members. (Employee pay and benefits is a very large cost; probably the single biggest cost of WDW operations.)

However, much of this increase also is because the theme parks are very crowded and Disney believes demand will remain high even with much higher ticket prices.

Yep...it's crazy. My nana and I went the first week of November and she paid HALF the price of my annual pass on a three day park hopper ticket... 😬

If you are just doing 4 days,,,do you need the hopper,,approx extra $15 per ticket per day?

Thx everyone…we are a family of 13 going. They want to do food and wine festival most nites ….hence the hopper.
we own dvc but I m so disillusioned with Disney these days. So much money.

And just wait until you're faced with Genie+ and $LL selections. We were able to slide into the AP purchase group before sales were stopped, but found we became very choosy about the other attractions. Paying with Canadian currency, of course, just made the final bill hurt a little bit more.

I'd do the hopper then. Hopefully you can take advantage of extended evening hours at epcot.

Ugh yeah I’m worried for when we have to go upgrade our Canadian resident tickets bought in 2019 to non Canadian tickets now. Who knows what it’s going to cost me :s

Buy the UK tickets; I paid about $3400 for 4 tickets ($850ish each) for 14 days passes that included park hopping, water parks, mini golf and also memory maker. If you use all 14 days, it works out to about $60/day CDN, can’t really beat that for value, imho.

I just did this and it cost me about $122 USD per ticket to upgrade the 7 day non-hopper tickets for a visit in May 2022. The value of the ticket with the update is now $574.22 USD.

Can you do that? They don't check residency?

With the increase in ticket price, Genie+ and all the cuts I'm surprised Canadians still want to go. I get that we all haven't been able to travel much the past 2 years but there is much better places in the US to visit. Universal is much cheaper and always has ticket deals.

For us, we have a WDW Annual Pass with our DVC membership so we figure after about 10 days in the parks it's getting pretty close to breaking even. Then when you consider souvenirs/parking/dining discounts you start to come out somewhat ahead.
At DL its tougher and tougher, 2 - 5 day park hoppers with G+ and 1 - 2 Day Parkhopper with G+ were $1345USD.... Luckily enough our timeshare is within Walking Distance (at least one way, Uber/Lyft is cheap to get back if tired)
I screwed up as we were at DL in October and could have upgraded to AP's, after much discussion we didn't do it. We will 9/10 Travel to WDW over DL (just feel it's cheaper with the AP, Timeshare Availability, I hate LA traffic etc). In the end, it was a bad decision as we ended up canceling our Late January trip to WDW because of Covid Testing, Flight schedule changes. It just didn't make sense to risk getting stuck in Florida for 2 extra weeks, so as it turned out we are going to DL again and fly from a US Origin.. The positive side is we wrangled my Dad to go to DL with us for 2 days and he will get to see Galaxy's Edge, he is a huge Star Wars fan and this probably in the end will make the trip switch worth it and then more.
Back on topic though, you really need to understand your dollars and cents if you are going to be making a trip to either coast.

As far as I know there is no residency restrictions. I purchased a no questions asked refund policy with the tickets for 10 GBP extra just in case they get rejected at the gate, but every report that I’ve read has said there are no issues with Canadians using the tickets.

I have hard tickets that I’ve linked to my MDE account for my trip in March and there were no problems doing that. I’ll report back with more details after my trip, but I’m not worried at all about the tickets.

Anyone think we'll get a Canadian ticket discount this year? We are planning DLR and WDW this year. Holding off on purchasing tickets just in case.

definitely waiting to hear how uk tickets go and I hope for some sort of Canadian discount..
to be honest if my kids didn’t want to go so bad I would sell dvc and go to Europe.
