I just did this and it cost me about $122 USD per ticket to upgrade the 7 day non-hopper tickets for a visit in May 2022. The value of the ticket with the update is now $574.22 USD.
I used the UK ticket in November. No residency requirement. Bought from a UK ticket reseller… there’s a post on this forum with the options. No problems.definitely waiting to hear how uk tickets go and I hope for some sort of Canadian discount..
to be honest if my kids didn’t want to go so bad I would sell dvc and go to Europe.
Wow - see that you can bring the price down by switching to Euro from GBP as well.I used the UK ticket in November. No residency requirement. Bought from a UK ticket reseller… there’s a post on this forum with the options. No problems.
It's not a good price considering that they were Air Miles flexible date tickets that were scheduled to be used in May 2020 when the park was shut down. They were extended to 2030 and I made the switch to May 2022. The tickets were valid when I made that change. Then in August 2021 Disney announced that the tickets would expire in September. So even though I had booked the trip and these tickets were applied to it, they expired and I had to pay the difference... So I'm a bit bothered by that experience...That's a good price right?
Our 8-day PH tickets are costing us 695.98 USD each for March 2022

As far as I know there is no residency restrictions. I purchased a no questions asked refund policy with the tickets for 10 GBP extra just in case they get rejected at the gate, but every report that I’ve read has said there are no issues with Canadians using the tickets.
I have hard tickets that I’ve linked to my MDE account for my trip in March and there were no problems doing that. I’ll report back with more details after my trip, but I’m not worried at all about the tickets.

Yes you are right! I did have to link the tickets in the UK Disney site (same login as my usual MDE). But once the tickets were there I am pretty sure I could do park reservations in the regular MDE site. I think I had to do it in the Edge browser since Safari and Chrome seem to not work for park reservations (for me at least)... maybe they fixed that now. We bought G+ a few mornings. Have to buy it after midnight, then be ready at 7 am to select the popular ones like SDD. We did not do any ILLs, but since we could buy G+ no problem, I would think it would be the same. Also used the free included water park option once the afternoon of one of our park days. The app worked fine with these tickets, just like our previous Canadian resident tickets.I just received these tickets for a trip in March. I had to link them via the uk site. Was that the same for you? Also, had to make my park reservations on the uk site, the Canadian site just kept kicking me out to the login page when I tried. Did you have to do that on the uk site too?
Also curious about buying G+ or ILL$…Will I have issues with that once I’m there? What were your experiences with the app and these tickets?
thank you for any tips and advice!!
thank you. I was getting myself all worried that I was causing myself more work doing it this way. I’ll try another browser to see if that works as the app and safari are not.Yes you are right! Yes I made my morning park reservation at AK. Did not need a reservation for the waterpark, just showed up at Blizzard Beach and scanned our magic bands. We appreciated the included photopass too.thank you. I was getting myself all worried that I was causing myself more work doing it this way. For the waterpark day, you just made the park reservations for the park you were going to before or after? Thanks again
Thanks again! You just took a large weight off for me!Yes I made my morning park reservation at AK. Did not need a reservation for the waterpark, just showed up at Blizzard Beach and scanned our magic bands. We appreciated the included photopass too.
I linked my tickets via the iPhone app, and had no issues with that. I did have issues making park reservations (it would log me out), and had to call dvc member services, however, they said many people were having that issue so I don’t think it was related to the UK tickets, but Disney’s IT (surprise, surprise!).I just received these tickets for a trip in March. Not sure about G+ or IA$/ILL$ as we aren’t going till March, and not sure if we will purchase them, but I can update once we are there.
chrome worked for me on the usual site so I am all good now. Thanks both of you for your experiences!Yes you are right! It would be nice but I dont hold great hopes. They want to squeeze out every last dime.Anyone think we'll get a Canadian ticket discount this year? We are planning DLR and WDW this year. Holding off on purchasing tickets just in case.
