Does anyone know when this usually occurs? We are going to buy the 10 day Park Hopper, Never expire, Magic Plus tickets and want to buy them before the price goes up again. Preferrably, we'd like to wait 2-3 months before our next trip (in June '06) but if the price will go up in January we'll get them now if we had to. Thanks!

This is a good question which I also wouldn't mind knowing the answer.
(ie Bump! :flower: )

The last increase was 1/2/05. They can increase at any time, but I would not expect it before the end of the year.

No matter when you buy the tickets, the price is set by the time of travel.

For instance, if you buy your tickets this year, for next year, you will pay next year's prices.

I just checked on this which is why I know. They ask you for your travel dates then give you the price the time of travel...Bummer for us too...trying to save some $$. But Disney knows. we'll buy em' anyway :rotfl2: :wave2:

I don't think the previous poster is correct. If you buy park tickets now that do not expire you pay what the cost is now. If you don't use them until 2006 or 2007 or whatever, you already paid for them and they will still be good. If you were to book a package now with Disney for beyond this year then the hotel prices and park ticket prices will be approximate until the new rates/prices are released. If you buy any physical WDW theme park tickets today without expiration you will be able to use them anytime in the future without having to pay the new prices.

I should have clarified in my question that I just wanted to know about the tickets..not packages. Yes, if I buy the 10 day never expire, magic plus, PH ahead of time they can't charge me again because I already paid for them. I just wanted to know when they normally have a price increase for those tickets. I am a DVC member so I don't buy travel packages as my accomodations are already taken care of.

Although a 10 day (with the works) ticket for 3 adults and a 3 yo will be a lot of up front money (around $1500 or so) in the long run it will save us money. We usually only go to 2-3 parks every year and the with extra addition of DQ and water parks, WWoS it can last us several years. Plus I'd save some by buying ahead of time as well, but since the price increases every year or something I'd like to get them before that happens. Hopefully, that wasn't too confusing! I don't always explain things very well.

Prices of tickets will never go down, only go up some time in the future, so if you have the money now to purchase your tickets, go ahead and purchase them, place them in a safe deposit box or another safe place, and they will be there for you when you are ready to go. With the no experation, it doesn't matter if you go next month or 20 years from now, they will always be valid. JMO :earsboy:

Actually, that's not just Simzac's opinion - it's the facts :flower: (Simzac, you're too modest!)

If I had to guess, and that's all it would be, barring announcements on this and other forums, I'd say ticket prices will increase on or around January 18, 2006.

And don't forget - you can save some money purchasing your MYW passes through such authorized resellers as AAA (limited choices), FloridaOrlandoTickets.com and MapleLeafTickets.com

I was just wondering if I purchase tickets that expire 14 days after first use. If I was to buy them tomorrow I can use them for December or April or whenever I chose can't I? As long as the first time I use it isn't until i get there?? Can someone just let me know if I'm mistaken on this thought. Thanks!!

You're right, Adora - the fourteen days starts the first day you use the passes for park admission (and don't forget to count that day as one of the fourteen - e.g. if you first enter a park on December 4, your ticket is valid every day from December 4 through December 19) NOT the day you purchase the passes

That's what I thought. I know they don't go down, but I know they go up and was thinking they increase the price every January..so I'll get my tickets before the end of December. Do the other places offer the 10 day tickets as well?

so do i understand this right if i buy a package now for winter of 06, the ticket price will go up if the passes go up? is anything locked in?( rooms dining ect) or can it all go up

i think if you buy a package now for winter of '06 the price you are given will include any price increase they may have (but I am not 100%). I doubt if you buy a package now that in a few months from now they'll say..."OK, you owe more because the price went up."

When I asked about price increase for tickets..I was talking tickets only..not packages. It all goes up every year, but if you have already purchased tickets and/or apackage for a certain time I am sure you are locked into the price you paid.

I buy our tickets ASAP and view them as an investment. I've locked in the current price, they're NOT going down, and if they go up by 5% between now and the time we go, I've made 5% on my investment. Actually, these forums and MouseSavers have always had advance notice of upcoming price hikes. I always buy from one of several ticket vendors on the web and they can verify that an increase is coming and they often have tix at the 'old', lower price for several days after the increase takes effect.
