Ticket Price Increase

In another group they say they read Disney said this weekend prices are going up. Get your tickets now. I got mine last weekend.

The e-mail from Mousesavers mentions that the "no expiration" option is jumping up in price on many of the tickets.

Does anyone Know how much the Annual Pass and the Annual Pass renewal will increase on 8/5 for DVC members?

quite a jump on the 8 day & up tix:eek:makes the AP w/DVC discount more tempting imo

I think this is the link you're looking for:

New DVC AP Pricing (assuming same discount off gate price for DVC'ers)
Adult: $399 ($499 - $100) WAS $389 (Up $10)
Child: $362 ($450 - $88) WAS $344 (Up $18)

New DVC PAP Pricing (assuming same discount off gate price for DVC'ers)
Adult: $504 ($629 - $125) WAS $494 (Up $10)
Child: $457 ($567 - $110) WAS $436 (Up $21)

Clearly the appear to be wanting to eliminate the child AP as they jack it's price pretty good.

If you plan to get tickets today (last day before increase) through Undercover Tourist's Mousesaver's link, the 6-Day Park Hopper No Expiration is still the best discount without going over the cost of the AP for both Adult and Child.

With the No Expiration option going up $18 on that ticket alone, even with the AP price increase you're saving more money by purchasing the MYW ticket today and upgrading it to an AP at the park Thursday or later.

Isn't tax still 6.5%? I calculate the AP price with tax as $424.94 and the new 6-day PH no exp is listed at $428.13. Am I figuring something incorrectly?

Yep Thursday 8/5.

I saw this and tried to renew my ap online, but it wouldn't give me the option for DVC renewal price and I saw no mention of the 15 month promo so I'm waiting patiently for member services to open. I'm hoping to beat the 8/5 price increase.

Do you have a DVC AP? Did you go to the Disney passholder site Log in and enter your pass Info on the back? I was checking the price last night and had no problem and my pass expires in Jan 2011????

Aha! No, I don't. I purchased my AP before I joined DVC. Herein lies my problem, I suppose. :(

Ok, I just saw that the price for the DVC renewal is the same as the price for a new DVC AP (premium for Disneyland). I'll have to call Member services then to make my purchase or renewal. Hope I still get the 15 months somehow!

I'm going to renew in December and use my GAD voucher to lower the price we pay. I suppose I have to wait until December to do that. However, with the GAD voucher, I'm considering getting the water park add on to the pass!

This is also what I figure. The best deal for those purchasing today is the 7 day no expiration ticket, which has a gate value of 414.29 but only costs $354.95 through the mousesavers link.

I agree with this so far - I've been doing comparisons myself and haven't found a combination that is a bigger savings than this one without exceeding a new AP price.

I was at our local AAA office yesterday and they had a price of $356.83 for a 7 day No Expiration ticket. Mousesavers has them beat but by only $1.88 per ticket. Still not a bad deal.

we tend to buy the 8 day no expiry base & after running the numbers, will either go with APs or base tix each trip after exhausting the various tix we have stockpiled:headache:

i was planning on using it in Oct to do the same to buy an AP, now, not sure. I would've been great to be able to use a ticket on-hand to upgrade along with the GAD;). I think the cut-off date to use the voucher is 12/14?
