Last Minute Travel has them at cheaper prices than Ares, although I don't know if there are a bunch of taxes and fees added on to the end. I know Ares adds a $1.25 processing fee to each ticket purchased.

So even the 5 for 3 deal right now could change? I think you have to buy by Sept. 1st to get the deal, but if they do a price increase it could all change? I was waiting for Aug. to buy our tickets for Sept. just for monthly budget reasons but maybe I should buy this month.

Last year the 5 for 3 tickets remained the same until the end of the promotion. However that may not be the case this year. You never know.

Yes AP prices went up in August too. Then the went up again early this year.

I think I'm going to order end if July just to be safe. We're talking at least a $40-$80 difference for our family depending on the hike.

I wish DL would do the same thing WDW does where the tickets don't expire.

So, would it be best to just buy our AP's now? If we bought regular tickets now and upgraded, I assume we would have to pay more to upgrade because of the higher AP cost.

Has anyone bought their AP online before? Is the start date when you order or when you first use it? Would it be better to buy the AP gift voucher online?

If you upgraded after the price increase, yes you'd have to pay the higher price. I'm not sure how long you have to activate the AP after purchasing online (if you wait too long they may have you pay the price difference?). The start day would be the day you activate it in the park.
